Elden Ring Review – The Final Verdict

FromSoftware returns with all of its traditional offerings in Elden Ring, but the real star of the show is its exceptional open world.

  1. I never understood how the comparison of the game looking like a dark souls 4, but overworld was somehow a bad thing.

I mean, isn't that the point. We like dark souls and the next step for dark souls is to be open world.

  2. What system was this reviewed on? Sorry if it was mentioned, I missed it I guess. I keep hearing Series X is having performance problems with fps in the low 40s even on Performance mode, which tbh might be a reason I'd hold off a bit.

  3. Another trip into the bland colour palette and story crafted buy the most overrated development studio in the last 10 years fromsoftwear , r1 mashing, roll spamming combat thats as shallow as a baby's wading pool.no story, copy and paste enemies, linear exploration,ds3 animations, terrible cloth and hair physics. Also don't get me started on the fact it has no difficulty settings.were are the crisp animations and graphics from games like call of duty and ,cyber punk, devil may cry.this game deserves a score honestly of 4/10 .

  4. Because of the lack of an in-game log/journal etc, I highly recommend you keep an actual journal of the game. Especially for when you put down the game for any period of time because there's a good chance you'll forget WTH you were doing.

  5. Just started playing it letting everybody know who's on Xbox Series X even with the day 1 patch 1.2 it's still running around 50 FPS sometimes even drops down to 48 or 45 FPS And that's in performance mode. Quality mode hovers around 40 FPS which is sad. You might as well play in quality lol while bottoming out the resolution to its lowest point in the dynamic scale. Doesn't seem any improved from the digital foundry review from 3 months ago.
