  1. I feel like I gel so much with what Tam and Andy were saying but Blessing also brought up basically every single thing that I'm concerned about too. Very curious whether I'm going to fall more on the inspired or frustrated side of this discussion.

  2. So Blessing is complaining about that he’s not getting things for his class? That’s RPGs. There are people who are going to get things for their class and some things that aren’t.

  3. Never comment but this is one of my most anticipated games of my life at this point and hearing the excitement around it has just made waiting until tomorrow that much more unbearable haha. As a souls fanboy my knee-jerk reaction was to write off Blessing's takes but I realized that was stupid. The game is getting almost unparalleled praise and I'm actually really happy he had the courage to share his honest takes in the face of what we all know can be a ravenous and often ridiculous fanbase. At the end of the day there is still a pretty niche audience for these games in regards to those who will love every aspect of it, and it is super important to have opinions shared that speak to a larger part of the potential audience here. Blessing if you see this just hope you know I appreciate you, I'm glad you're still enjoying the game and I simply have a great deal of respect for you. Looking forward to launch day, hope you best friends have a great time with the game if you're jumping in! Great review and podcast guys!

  4. Blessing complains about not getting items he wanted seems inconsistent since I don't think he's ever complained about BOTW's weapon durability, and that shit wasn't even attached to good combat. I remember at a point I just went straight into avoiding combat as much as possible, casue it wasn't good and the rewards were shit and my weapons kept breaking.

  5. Having no quest tracking/journal, and a map with no icons is not an "antidote," per Tamoor, for open world games; for people with increasingly limited time for games and who don't want to spend months on a single title, that kind of potentially aimless wandering and forced backtracking is a source of frustration.

But if that's what you're into, and since he specifically brought up Forbidden West's "map icons", here's three solutions: (1) turn off the compass and all other indicators from the custom HUD settings, (2) set quest and waypoint pathfinding to "explorer," and (3) use the filter to disable all the extra map icons.

Or just don't look at the map. If you think that random wandering/minimal guidance is what makes an open world game great, then not having a map at all should be even better. It's Tamoor's issue if he doesn't take advantage of any of the options the game gives you for minimizing guidance.

  6. Tam’s accent… I mean he could be telling me my car was stolen and while the robbers were driving away they hit my dog and I would just nod and listen. Haha but jokes aside great video guys. Super hype for the game!

  7. For me a game that gives you accessible choices that allow you tailor your own experiences with it will always be the most fun, also I don't get why are people in the comments are dissing Blessing for having a different opinion/perspective/experience. I'm glad he was on this gamescast his points will really help someone (especially those without the previous knowledge of other Fromsoft games) to make an informed decision on whether they should buy it or not this so called 'greatest game of all time'.
