Only on Switch?
Man I need to beat the Ds versions I have, just to see if the main characters from back then will appear in this game.
I finished the Demo myself after 4 hours. It's beefier than I thought it'd be.
Some piece of advice: There's no need to be picky with the monsters you scout, as you could use them for fusion later. Building a backlog of monsters to fuse is never a bad idea in these games.
Oh what this had a demo drop. Gonna have to check this out.

Didn't expect to see the demo for this pop up out of the blue, at least I can try it out later on.
I also like the fact that after the tutorial section they give you the fast travel spell (Zoom) in case you either want to go back, train up a little more or even scout more.
Small bit of advice tho: It's best to grind a little so that it makes both scouting monsters and battling monsters easier.
I wasn't planning on getting the game cause I have a large enough backlog as is (hell still need to finish the postgame for Nexomon 2) but this game is hitting way too many nostalgia buttons for me to not play it lol.

I lost my DS Dragon quest monster joker game at work. Pretty sure it was stolen since I was working at a call center. I had like everything so I never restarted. I'm so hype to actually beat this one and keep my monsters this time lol

yeahh this is gonna be a hard pass for me, dragon quest creatures are too cartoony and lame for my tastes.
It's funny to see a monster catching game on Switch with decent visuals and performance after the sh** sh** that generation 9 of Pokémon has been. HIlarious even.
Wow there's a demo. I was going to get the game as currently feel burnt out and dealing with backlog. I'm dissatisfied with cosy genre game they aren't that cosy as time moves fast, crops grow slowly and lame mini games in crafting. I'm still going get Paleo Pibes because the dinosaurs. I really enjoyed Dragon quest/monsters series. There are monster collecting in other DQ games but I prefer DQM and Joker is pretty good.
I've only ever played the first Joker game; are there any significant mechanical differences in the main series?

Kinda a strike against a chance at marketing for SE as feared, but we can rely on you to make up for some of that huh Ed? I at least heard that at some Con they had a booth to play a Demo there or something like that. I'm Fuzzy on the details though.
I hope the performance is improved on release. It's fine for this to be a low budget game, but there's no excuse for this framerrate and pop in. In that case sell it cheaper. This is a 60€ game with day 1 DLCs, so again, no excuses.

I've been playing the demo litterally all day and almost have all scoutable monsters, I so can't wait for the full game
I want to love this game so much, but I can't get over how bad it looks. Now I'm all for stylized graphics. Hell Fantasy Life is one of my favorite games, but this looks like a GameCube game. There are almost no textures. Idk outside of the main character model and a few monsters it looks incredibly underwhelming from a visual standpoint.
It's so clunky and slow… I would give anything to speed up battles.
I'm so happy that more people are getting hyped for this game, its so good- and if you do give it a full playthrough once it releases it'd be awesome to see a playthrough or livestream of it! 😀
Really quick question. Has anyone defeated the Cyclops? I want to find time my game for exp grinding and I believe it would be the best monster to do that with.
Even if it is on a wiki, I always prefer a good youtube guide over a text one or even a pictural one.
