if you put a weapon with the ashe of war royal knight resolve in the main hand and a staff in the off-hand, you can use the royal knight resolve ash of war to double all your spell dmg in the next 15~ seconds. Much better than Terra Magicus.
Why they try to use the hand ability on a range caster is beyond me. It leaves them so open to attacks. If your up against a mage have bloodhound step.

With mage builds I always have at least one maxed out melee weapon just in case they think I’m not about to throw hands.
