Don't forget that guard counters actually make a tanky greatshield build more viable. The extra stability from greatshields can help you get in that one extra guard counter vs some baddies that can make a whole heap of difference
I've been playing for 24 hours and I found a way to skip Margaret.
finished my first blind run three days ago, theres so much more spells and incantations that i haven even touched yet im just rubbing me hands
Could this be dog
Just beat the game last night and the late game is just such a slog. So much so it hurts the game enough that Bloodborne is still my favorite.
NO matter what build you have, you can become broken and overpowered.
Everything is OP in this game.
In some open world games they give you sidequests that are mundane and boring. Such as go out and kill 5 rabbits or some non-sense. This game has none of that. Just explore.
In a dungeon I found a lantern that shoots ghosts at people.
Massive gameplay elements such as armor customization, flask customization, are just hidden away in places people might not ever find.
The game map is also much larger than it seems there are other large "areas" to explore.
Dark souls: breath of the wild seems nice but
It has mongol armor?
“Take the glaringly obvious hint that this isn’t for you yet”
Laughs in Magic combos
I’ve been using a dex build cause some of the dex weapons in this game are crispy
Especially that katana you get off a certain boss 😉
Went straight to Margit, got my ass beaten about a dozen times before beating him and stormveil castle was absolute hell, because I was massively underleveled with a tooth pick for a weapon. Most fun I ever had with a video game 😀
The one doue boss you mentioned in the endgame is really one of the worst bosses I ever had to fight the fight is straight up not fun.
I like it more than ds2 and 3, but sekiro, BB, ds1 and des are much better
Early game 8/10 mid game 6/10 end game 3/10
It's a good game. Nothing mind blowing though. Like, Sekiro was a really new direction for FromSoft. This one is the same DS3 with open world aspect.
If you need to grind juast help other players as a sunbro.
I got up to the grand lift area and thought that damn this game is huge, but then i stumbled upon the underground area and found out that its like, half the size of the overworld map. Absolutely insane.
Only Youtuber I will never skip sponsor part for is ZeroLenny <3
cheers for the video lenlen 😉
If the horse controlled better and the engine was better so it stuttered less then it'd be a very great game, but they dont so it isn't
Took me back to my youth knocking about Boro high street with that "YOU SCONEHEAD, C'MERE!"
Eh. Toward the bottom of FROM games honestly.
I have only killed the first major boss but have explored basically all the map. Getting my but kicked because I don't wanna progress the story is kinda fun I really do love the open worldness of the game.
ahaha, i was waitin for you to upload about The best game i’ve played since ocarina of time, Hell yea Len!
I was just looking yesterday to see if you had posted a new elden ring video!
The game is literally everything I’ve wanted it to be. My GOTY and it won’t even be close, there are some things I’d definitely change but man
10/10 still from me
It's a work of art, can't put into words how awesome it truly is.
what was your opinion/strategy for melania? Her flurry combo just seems impossible to avoid.
So I'm 100+ hours in and I'm not done, but I'll be back for this spicy content and I'll absolutely be back for The Elden Ring Experience.
The last sections are a bit linear with all dem mountains
Since Lenny can’t have a broken sword he should use the Grafted Blade Greatsword, it looks like that’s where all of the other half’s to his broken ones went.
So is the open world any good?
15 hours in, I'll be back in a couple weeks Lenny
This is so well put together, I couldn't have summarized my thoughts and feelings about the game any better. Especially the story section.
I took a week off for this game.
50 hours later, I've only just got to Altus Plateau.
Weird how Elden Ring perfects the Dark Souls formula by fixing awful mechanics that have been present in the series for years and years. Yet when brought up when the games came out you were told to "git gud" and "youre just bad, I think that this broken mechanic actually works well". The souls community has been so obsessed with the "difficulty" of the games that they have been in denial of how awful they have actually been, the irony is that this led the developers to just keep making the same game over and over. This is the exact same story as when Breath of the Wild came out, how is Ocarina still "perfect" when its own fans say that Breath of the Wild made it better. Smoothbrained children shouldn't review games because they lead to no improvement from the developers. Elden Ring could have been made years ago if the Souls community didn't constantly lie to themselves saying that DS is perfect and shouldn't be changed. Exactly like how Bloodborne needed to be made a separate game completely to have its superior mechanics, otherwise the DS community would revolt as their clunky, unfair game was tampered with.
The Stockholm syndromed Souls community don't know what they want, they've never known what they wanted.
They deserve neither Bloodborne nor Elden Ring.
Here have another pity comment for the algorithm since I had to leave after 60 seconss
I honestly feel like this game being open world doesn't really benefit it all that much, just adds to the confusion of where to go and what to do, you're just overwhelmed with possibilities.
I just hope they do a similar kind a game but for bloodborne
what did you think of radhan? it’s surprising to hear you say you only really didn’t like one boss and i know you aren’t talking about him
I'm guessing the boss everyone hates and you are talking about are the foreskin twins.
It's such a damn fine game that I can't help but wonder; What on earth could they do next?
im 48 hours in and i have only fully explored limgrave and parts of the north, east, and south parts. so yes, i will not watch the video, ill come back in half a year when i finally finish my first blind playthrough hahahaa
"New mechanics"
"Powerstance"
This is the second sin
DS2 is unironically still my fav
Not only has From made a great open world game, they have done so without sacrificing their quality level design and art direction. The underground eternal cities are absolutely gorgeous and Leyndall might be the best designed location From has ever made, truly feeling like the major city of a civilization and making you feel small and puny.
By the way, about that boss in the mid to late game that is just two enemies together: If it is the one I think it is (the one before the festival), it can actually be skipped by doing a certain sidequest. I found the boss, thought it was shit, went on to do something else and started an important sidequest. Said sidequest directs you back to this fights for what comes after the fight itself (trying to be vague here), and imagine my surprise when I got there and the boss was gone. I just think it's pretty cool that there's even a boss that can be skipped if you go exploring (though I don't know if it was because of the sidequest or because of finding a certain new area that requires an elevator).
ive started 3 individual saves for different builds and i plan on finishing all of them, this game is fantastic
SPOILER WARNING
If the boss fight you mentioned towards the end was the crucible knight and leonine misbegotten right before Radahn, that's actually optional. I got there, lost a few times then went and did part of Ranni's quest, came back there as part of the quest and the festival had started without needing to kill those two. This doesn't change the fact that they are still two reused bosses but it's just something I found out in my play through so far.
If this is the souls formula perfected I'd rather go back to ds2. The PvP is even worse than ds1's darkbead spam
I swear I popped a few blood vessels after I killed Mohg
There's so much DS 2 DNA in Elden Ring that I'm glad they added
I would consider getting it, but I fear my PC specs won't cut it. It's quite old by this age.
