worst shit ewer
I’m stuck in high 40s on a 1070…..lowering the settings doesn’t work…. I have an i7 7820hk, it should be able to handle things fine……but I think it is the bottleneck
This is a real strange one. I'm seeing people with monster machines, beast specs struggling. Yet here I am……… i7 3770k OC 4.0GHz, R9 390x, 16GB 1600 MHz ddr3 ram and game is installed on a standard 1tb HDD. I'm running it at 1440p, after 3 hours of play in the open world I've averaged 51fps, lowest dropping to around 40. Settings are auto detected to high but I moved grass and a couple of others to medium, motion blur off. So far no crashes or stuttering, everything is running fine. I can't say it will stay that way but so far, so good for me. Now I did also clear over 50% of my hard drive with Elden Ring installed, verified game files, optimised windows 10 and desktop and cleared as much junk as I could etc. First time I launched I got the white screen easy cheat shut down but I had modded drivers installed, I removed them and reinstalled the last AMD drivers for my card and it launched fine.
I might be way off here but what I see on steam and here is people with monster machines way beyond what I have are struggling, while people on lower spec systems are having a good time. I know my machine is old, it's running everything great but now I know upgrades are on the horizon, but I'm over the moon my old girl seems to have enough left in her for one last adventure with Elden Ring. These games have never been about high FPS, been playing them since Demons on the ps3. Hell bloodborne would drop to 17fps on ps4 and it's still the best game on that console. That being said, if I had a GPU worth over a grand then I'd expect 60fps constant on max settings 4k when compared to my battle hardened rig…
This has been a real strange one…
So I have a 1060 gtx 6b aswell but my game only gets to 35 – 40 fps and in fights it is even worse. I have 16 gb ram and a amd ryzen 5 2600 six-core processor, i dont understand the problem
Thank you so much for this friend, you saved me from a lot of anxiety!
Just for example, first dark souls was capped to 30fps on PC. Only moders repaired game to run on 60fps without glitches in physics.
Is there a resolution scaling setting in the game?
gtx 1650 here and run like ass 🙁
easy fps tip : Disable shadows , blur , vegitations, draw distance. Thank me later
I was waiting for you to get into the fight with the horseback boss. There's no point to the open world being 60 ish when there's no action and effects happening. This wasn't helpful.
This is why you dont pre order or buy games day one
I’m thing about geting this game I already beat dark souls 3 I’m playing sekiro rite now,i have 1060 3g card is amazing
Thankful that I watched this before purchasing the game.
I have an MX 250 4GB card which is supposed to be equivalent to a GTX 1050, I wonder if it would run the game on the lowest settings.
I have a 1060 6GB, have between 55-60 fps on high.
windowed mode (borderless, fullscreen), disabled DoF.
cpu is amd 2700x
ram is 32gb 3200mhz ddr4
and games installed on a highspeed kingston nvme.
Monitor is 180hz, and since i switched to borderless window i have 0 tearing.
I know it may be a lot of work but they released a patch just now that should resolve address stutters, will you check it out? 😀
Is work gtx760 i5 4460 8go ? Low 720p
Here is what I did before even starting the game:
1: Disabled “Control Flow Guard” for the game executable in windows (just google how to do that)
2: Disabled “Fullscreen optimization” for the game executable (just right click on it).
3: Selected “High Performance” for the game executable in win10 “Graphics Settings”
4: Selected “Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling” in win10 “Graphics Settings”
5: Installed the latest Nvidia drivers
6: Made sure nothing was selected in “General Controller Setting” under Steam settings. It should just say that your primary controller is Xbox One (or whatever you use).
7: Made sure “Max Frame Rate” was set to 55 under the Nvidia driver setting (To prevent tearing with a G-sync monitor).
8: Made sure “Shader Cache Size” is set to “unlimited” under the Nvidia driver setting.
9: Made sure “Image Scaling” was set to 77% with 15% sharpening under the Nvidia driver setting (with a 1440p monitor I play the game at 1108p with scaling). Don't worry the game still looks gorgeous . It is basically a forced AMD FSR (that actually looks better than FSR IMHO, but that is another heated debate)
10: Made sure Win 10 power plan is set to “balanced”
11: Stopped “Easy Anti Cheat” from initiating:
(Rename start_protected_game.exe to something else. …
Make a copy of elden_ring.exe.
Rename this newly made copy to start_protected_game.exe.
So basically the original “elden_ring.exe” becomes the new “start_protected_game.exe”
Run the game through Steam as normal.)
With the list done Elden Ring runs flawlessly for me on a GTX 1080ti.
The game looks like garbage. Both the graphics and animations are awful.
sadly my cpu is giga garbage and this game runs like shit for me
There seems to be something seriously wrong with my game. SSAO on High and Maximum makes all of the grass shimmer like crazy and my character is constantly surrounded by a some kind of aura that negates shadows.
So basically its an un-optimised stuttering mess that doesnt even look that good… think ill pass on this just like Dying Light 2
I would recommend set an fps lock in the weaker gpus just get an even performance all across
With a 3060Ti and i5-9400f I can’t even hit a steady 60fps on medium…
I have a FX 8350 4.4 GHZ, GTX 1060 6 GB and 16 GB Ram, would i be able to play the game on 1080 p with medium settings?
I have a 1070 and even with medium settings it doesn't run on a consistent 60fps. It's not game braking but the stutters sometimes are really annoying and immersion breaking when you're trying to focus on the beauty that this game clearly is
this game plays like crap on PC only recommend on console otherwise it is just a headache
is stuttering a new mechanic or what ? 🤣
I think I'll do a high/max setting but the old 1060's memory is gonna get a 400mhz oc
Digital Foundry reports those stutters exist on a 3090 at 720p and conclude this is a broken PC port
More technically impressive open worlds dont have these issues – also this game runs on a last gen console, its not pushing anything, its just a technical disaster.
why could it be that i get only average 50 fps with this same card on medium settings and thats with overclock, without it i only get average 43-45 fps? i have 16 gigs ram and i5-12600kf and newest geforce drivers.
The big stutter/freeze you get at 0:13 i get every 59 seconds consistantly on a 3080 even when in a cave looking at the floor, i wish people would stop blowing smoke up fromsofts fucking ass, the game is a broken shambles end of story.
What settings would i be able to run 60fps at?
CPU: i7-7000 3.60Ghz
GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: 16
1660 super will do fine then and im told hte bugs and glitches keep coming hard pass for the cost
and be mindful of your heat too it goes up and frames drop its really having hard time
i bet stutter is not game BUT OS ms does that peridiodcally to spy er telemetry you
Bro I have a gtx 1080 it dus not work on any setting
I came to say that your channel was recommended to my when you made one of the gpu posts you make. which made me buy an rx6600 recently and I have been enjoying your content since 🙂
I’m running a 1060 6GB as well with an i5-7500 and 16 Gb of ram. Bad studdering at max settings but turning off motion blur and depth of field as well as reducing shadow quality has helped me maintain a pretty consistent frame rate even though my cpu is less than the minimum specs
Really wish all these benchmark videos weren't just in the starting area. The frame issues become significantly worse when you get to later areas of the game and a stable framerate in Limgrave does NOT suggest the same for other places.
I am using 2070mq, which has the similar performance to 980ti. At high setting it has a frame rate above 40, but at low setting the frame rate merely increases a little bit.
Fromsoft needs to fix this problem!
