This is a 1952 American WW2 film based on the 1945 play; A Sound of hunting.
Three American infantrymen—Carter (Arthur Franz), Ferguson (James Griffith) and Small (George Cooper)—are returning from patrol in a bombed-out town when they are pinned down by an enemy machine gun.
Meanwhile, Coke (Richard Kiley), who was separated from the patrol, returns on his own to the squad’s basement outpost where goof-off Private Collucci (Bonar Colleano) is sleeping, dreaming of beautiful women. A runner from company headquarters delivers a package for a squad member and tells the men that the regiment is moving out of the line that night.
Shortly after another patrol returns with Sgt. Mooney (Lee Marvin) and privates Spiros (Nick Dennis) and Muller (Dickie Moore).
These WW2 movies are a development on the KBO Media Channel – the first time we have broken away from a policy of exclusively uploading KBO Media and Liam Dale productions.
We hope you enjoy the movie.

Lee Marvin – The shady guy we all secretly root for.
In Italy during World War II, a squad of American soldiers is scattered by sniper fire, leaving one soldier, Pvt. Small (George Cooper), trapped inside a foxhole. Pvt. Coke (Richard Kiley) reports back to camp and presses his commanding officer, Sgt. Joe Mooney (Lee Marvin), to dispatch a rescue team. But orders for the division to pull out of the area place the squad in the uncomfortable position of attempting the rescue at the risk of going against military protocol.
Excellent film across the board.
I would put a motor round in the tube, let it slide down slowly till it hit the pin…aim it…then hit the bottom with a rock….
More talking shit than action.
It's been a while since I've seen this movie it's still as good as it gets.
This is how U do it kid's. U journeyman,,,5-10 year's, learn the business inside out, then U ascend 2 Legend status.
Discovered this film a few years ago. Now it's one of my all time favorites. I think you would have to have been in the service to really appreciate it.
Title of this film sounds like it came from the marvel universe
Iron man indeed.
Bonar Colleano. His second wife was actress Susan Shaw, (Died 27 November 1978 (aged 49)) who descended into alcoholism after his death in a car crash in 1958. She was a lead in "Fire Maidens from Outer Space".
Binary colleano left the us to live in Liverpool England. As an ex scouse my question is why.??😅😅
Bonar. Bonar bonar..
Great Movie! and all actors bouncing off each other, Classic.
If I was Small, I would hope my friends would be a little more motivated to save my life.
A truly miserable portrayal of bad weather in a war.
That machine gun has got a load of ammunition to shoot at nothing much.
