  1. I loved the first 3 movies, but I didnt even want to see an Indiana Jones 4, and when I saw it I was right, aliens!!!
I will never watch Indiana Jones 5, which is why I'm here….to save me that torture.

  2. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull had some good ideas but the execution was off. The nuking the fridge wasn't a stretch too far considering the raft from the plane in temple of doom. Not even the aliens bothered me considering Indy has always had a supernatural element. Ive played games like Infernal Machine and the Emperors Tomb. I think what really did it for many people was the quantity of silly stuff. It wasnt just the nuking of the fridge. It was the prairie dogs, the swinging with monkeys, the landing of a duck on the tree and using the tree to swat off enemy soldiers. I think it was the amount of stuff like that which made it feel like it not only nuked the fridge, but jumped the shark, the ocean that contained said shark.

For all of Kingdoms problems, at least it left Indy largely intact. He married Marion, and connected with a son he didn't know he had.

To me I dont mind having Kingdom in my custom made box set. But I will probably forget Indy 5 even happened.

  3. So Phoebe's character punches an old man unconscious, yet we're supposed to end the film liking her? Yikes.

Also, this isn't the first time Shia LeBeouf's character has been killed offscreen, it happened with the Transformers movies as well. I find that amusing, but I imagine Shia does not.

  4. Adult Short round should've been the sidekick. Everyone loves the actor and there wouldn't be a dry eye in the house seeing him gifted the hat by Indy in the end.
Next movie in the franchise…Shortround and the "blank" of "blank."

  5. Stupidly they overlooked the one thing that could have saved the film. Instead of bandaged reshoots they could have hired a film student (or just about any director including moi) for points only, and reshot the entire film in 1-3 months with Ke Huy; with 'Short round' as the new archaeologist to carry a spin off franchise. Title: 'Short Round and the Raiders of Katmandu'.

  6. Phoebe Whatever only has one personality: unlikable smug. It worked for Fleabag because the main character was supposed to be that way but it's not gonna work for everything. Terrible choice for Indy.
