Cyber Format is a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG format from September 2005 using Goat’s banlist but including the cards from Cybernetic Revolution and some promo releases. These new additions to the card pool fundamentally change how the game is played and makes for much more explosive matches than you typically see in Goat format.

  1. Elemental heroes and cyber dragons were the ones that mostly made the separation from duel monsters to gx cards, being the bases for what the next generations will be like, also let's not forget the epic fusion Elemental HERO Mudballman that has the most op effect in the game but it never got banned 😂

  2. From the first game I immediately noticed that if you don't play polymerization then there is no reason to play King of the Swamp over Beastking of the Swamps which has 1000 ATK. But I still think playing a Poly instead of the third Miracle Fusion would be better! I will definetely try it out!

  3. I’m very intrigued on the Bubbleman idea to draw, but I feel like the game of “wanting to save him for the draw” sets back a lot of tempo in the deck. Watching that HERO mirror, I really felt like we had to give up way too many plays for the hopes of setting up a Bubbleman +2. Is the card advantage we gain worth the card advantage we lose by not going for plays earlier? I feel like Vortexing a Clayman to SS Bubbleman +2 is not a very appealing deal, for example

I do really like the discard traps though. Maybe a Heart of the Underdog / Enchanted Fitting Room strategy could position the deck better. I really like the concept of the materials being ammo for the discard traps and having the payoff be Miracle, but I dont think Bubbleman is the way to do it.

  4. I get the perception that without a miracle fusion play at the ready, there is essentially no offensive pressure to apply. Then any removal just wipes your biggest monster you can make. But I guess we know this is one of the major flaws of early heros
