  1. I think the Sisters are too deeply entrenched in the great houses that killing Mother Superior would make her a martyr the sisters could get all the houses to rally behind as a cause. He needs to remove her supports before he kills her

  2. I viewed it more that he's a tool sent to serve the Emperor for whatever reason and by whomever. His vendetta is against the Sisters, but he isn't given full agency by the Empress. He serves his primary function first and foremost – as a tool to serve the Emperor. And the Emperor didn't have the insight to try and move openly against the whole Sisterhood. So Wurmkind McFry Lothbrok acted as much as he could, and kicked the Sisterhood out of the Imperial Court. It's a symbolic move, and as their influence wanes among the great houses of the Landsraadt (Dune House of Lords). Wormy McFry has to wait for his personal Agenda and the Imperial Agenda to coincide again to move against the Mother Superior. And, if he kills her now, he'll just have to wait for her successors to figure out what the heck is going on, and what the past history was, before they come back into play. And if they shatter into warring factions before McFry is set to detroy the sisterhood en masse, then instead of dealing with one shadow political sisterhood, he has to deal with many. Same reason you don't blow up a large asteroid heading to earth, you can't predict the fallout and you multiply your enemies and fronts.

  3. the soldier who survived the worm is a Rasputin type archetype, he even has the eyes of Rasputin and the garb like Rasputin and he has magical powers that the Queen saw and appreciated and persuaded her emperor husband to listen to him. The head royals them become dependent on him and they follow advice that threatens the other houses.

  4. While I’m loving the show, as someone who enjoyed Raised by Wolves, I can’t get past the almost identical character that the actor who plays Desmond played in Raised by Wolves: a man given a power that changes him into a religious zealot.

  5. Thanks for the breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?

  6. Why would they keep the Agony a secret from the rest of the acolytes? The entire Sisterhood at risk, and they all must train to experience the agony. Why shouldn’t they bear witness with their own eyes?
Also, Tula knew it was unsafe. She was obviously very reluctant. Valya is one of those people that would tell her so what? Yes I killed Doratea because she put the sisterhood at risk and defied the wishes of her own grandmother, Raquella.

  7. Guys, Dorotea was Lila's grandmother (while Raquela was Lila's great great grandmother, so apparently we weren't introduced to Dorotea's mother). Dorotea even calls Lila "granddaughter" right after Lila mistook her for her own mother. Meaning, Lila's mother, the one whom supposedly died giving birth to her, was Dorotea's daughter. Also, earlier in the episode when Valya told Tula she would have to get Lila to go through the Agony, the death of Dorotea was the secret Tula was referring to, so she WAS worried and apprehensive about Lila encountering Dorotea and discovering that truth.

  8. I believe that Desmond is a ghola is a creature created by using the cells of the dead person to make a clone. They have been conditioned against certain powers and I believe that's why the Voice failed and he has the ability to burn people.

  9. You also can’t just kill the Mother Superior, that would unit the sisterhood. He wants to destroy them, which would require that the great houses and other leaders stop believing in them. Have to kill the idea

  10. The first lady shown, has the same diamond on her forehead like Dr Yueh did. Which means they have been trained and can't do anything against their training. I wonder if Desmond can cause people who have used "The Spice" to burn internally. He did receive a gift from Shai-Hulud. When Jessica took the water of life, she got all the memories of those who the reverend mother on Arakis had.

  11. I feel like the sister being dead is why the emperor starts listening to his wife. When she is around he dismisses his wife and dosnt remember things the same as her. But when she goes he starts listening to his wife more and more.

Probably like the old way she mentioned in the last episode.

  12. Mother Dorotea, was Lila’s grandmother. Reverend Mother Raquella was Lila’s great grandmother. They were trying to get her in contact with her great grandmother to learn more about the upcoming tyrannical disaster.

The fear was that she would make contact with her grand mother and the secret about her death would come out. Mother Superior Valya Harkonnen said to risk it anyway. Also they didn’t really care if she died or not. The sisterhood is what matters not the individual girls.

  13. I think Desmond might be one of the “Prophets” who can now see and prepare the way of the coming “Messiah”, Paul Atreides. Potentially the prophecy is speaking of the one who will eventually come and destroy or supplant the sisterhood, which is actually Paul. So, the distant Blue Eyes could be those of Paul looking who can fold space and see all things (past, present, or future) along the space time continuum as one. So, the prophecy is about and fulfilled in him, which will grow ever clearer as in comes to fruition. For now, it is there but still not completely clear. Anyway, that is just a thought. Good reaction. Always enjoy your breakdowns.
