Getting into the introduction, Aang was a 12-year-old Air Nomad who was born the Avatar. The Avatar is the only person capable of learning all four Bending arts: Airbending, Waterbending, Earthbending, and Firebending.

Well actually he doesn't gain the power of thr past avatars but just their knowledge, skill and experience. As we saw in Korra even with the previous avatars reancarantion state being severed her Avatar state was no weaker as the spirit of Vatu if I remember the name correctly still remained which is what gives power in the Avatar state in the first place xd.
I have a few questions on the avatar verse' scaling, how does durability in the avatar verse work? I know they're above human lvl but would thier bending AP scale to their physicals? (dura, striking power?) lets say aang is moon lvl in the avatar state, would this also scale to his physicals and would he in theory be able to damage other moon lvl charavcters in fiction with his bending?
