In 2020, Dragon Ball Z Kakarot made its debut on eighth-generation consoles and PC. Developed by CyberConnect 2, it looked like it was finally going to deliver on the promises made by Sagas 15 years prior.
In early 2023 the PS5 version became available and that is the version I will be playing for this retrospective.

I just finish this arc in the game today, the battles are so easy even in difficult. I also played Bardock dlc before it, it feels nicer that way
I had a crush on frieza since her debut. (Yes I know it's a he but it sounds like a she and look like a she and voice by 2 women) I look at Frieza as a woman alien.
this game is not old enough to have a retrospective BTW will you do a Xenoverse 2 Retrospective because when it came out a kid could have been born and they would be in 1st grade by now

I wished that they would have made it done that when you get to the part in the game where you can replay boss fights that you're level health energy bars etc are all to the same level when you first fought that boss and something done so that your gi outfit gets battle damaged or even you start out with battle damaged outfit

Did you add new (better) music to the game footage? It's been awhile, but I seem to remember the same 3 or 4 boring music tracks playing over every cutscene in the game.

Great retrospective. I still havenβt gotten the game due to wanting a version with all the DLC. I thought the game would be MUCH better than it is based on how fluid and nice gameplay looks. Still gonna get it but Iβve tempered my expectations ππΎ
