Jonbers was playing a parody of Ashley and pugsley who won Britain's got talent a while back and they would do like dances together and stuff.
Jonbers' character was a reference to Ashleigh & Pudsey, a girl with her dog who done tricks and won Britain's Got Talent a few years ago – it's a pretty niche reference if you're not familiar with British talent shows!

On another subject, I have long advocated for the UK queens to receive monetary prizes. Yes, yes, we all know and have heard (ad nauseum!), the excuse that 'the BBC is publicly funded and can't give cash to anyone as it would be a misuse of the TV licence fee money'.

The BBC is merely the platform on which production companies air their programs. Yes, the BBC does actually also produce programs (dramas, documentaries, etc). But of course, none of these offer cash!
Game shows appear regularly on the BBC. Both celebrity panel shows and others.
These are produced and funded by the production companies themselves, not the BBC. For instance, 'The Wheel' – a game show invented by Michael McIntyre, one of our biggest stars in comedy. Primarily a show that could be made during the pandemic because of its nature, it has become wildly successful. Made by an INDEPENDENT production company (as most if not all of these shows are!), they make enough money to enable them to offer cash prizes every week to the winning contestant. From as little as £30k to one instance of £92k.
DRUK is produced by WOW etc, NOT the BBC. The BBC is merely the platform on which it airs.
Therefore, if the production company who makes 'The Wheel' (and other production companies who make other prize money-winning game shows), can offer cash prizes, why can't WOW??? It's not like they aren't wealthy enough.
If they don't want to offer £100,000k etc like they do in the US (and other franchises) – and if not, why not? Then they can offer less. But offer SOMETHING! The cache of appearing on DRUK amd the raised profiles are all very well, but it doesn't always lead to more lucrative offers of work. It can do, and certainly has in many cases. But not all the time. And I do realise that occasionally, this may be because the Queen hasn't capitalised on their time onscreen.
However, the 'RuPeter' badges are a joke. Reward them with money!

Willam needs to stop, already. Acting like drag queens are poor and pathetic and being "taken advantage" of by Drag Race is tired. Queens are literally given a 1-way ticket to stardom being on Drag Race – being on the show itself is the PRIZE, not whatever stipend or the $$$ is at the end. The girls need to get it together, already. You made it on Drag Race, stop trying to (constantly) drag tf out of the show that gave you everything you have.
I think a spend cap would be interested, the more talented queends would get the edge simply because they will make more of their own clothes and really get the most out of the money
Idk if anyone has mentioned but Sassy and Pugsley I believe are based upon Ashleigh and Pudsey who won BGT. Well that’s what I got from the character names anyway. The performance wasn’t giving them as a character duo, but that’s producers.
I REALLY don’t get the hype behind Jonbers ruffle dress it was nice and well put together but was definitely not one of THE best runways on the show ever IMO

I understand about the queens nit being paid, but isn’t it because it is broad coasted in the BBC a public funded network? Also, the exposure alone, tours the queens go after their season, and all the opportunities that come have a huge monetary value… queens already know they are not getting any money, if they don’t like that they dont need to apply to go to DR UK

I feel like if Dakota did Jonbers look this week the judges would have been like “okay not enough” , but because it’s Jonbers who has been missing the mark a bit on the runway they really leaned into it for the story line.

I am in SHOCK. 250 POUNDS AN EP?? ONLY? They need to raise the budget that is seriously ridiculous, and in the U.S they get actual money prizes on the show and here they get pin badges? Also the point about rich queens being able to afford more is such a great point I didn't even think of. Lower income queens are already at a disadvantage
