  17. Hi all. Am an alumni of IIT Roorkee, engineering, and have experience working in the placement committee. Placements don't happen the same way for MBA like others. That's the sad truth of IITR. Location is a bit disadvantage as mostly recruiters have to be bought from Delhi by car (nobody uses the Dehradun airport due to its limitations). MBA department is poorly represented as it has only one Dean handling everything, the majority being from tech. Yes, the campus is amazing. Fee is less and you get the IIT tag. Probably you will get chance to collaborate and compete with other Bschools but IITR is not a Bschool. Its a tech school. The open profiles that come is not MBA specific (consulting/analytics/supply chain) as tech (both btech and mtech – just go to the site to get and idea how many departments are there) and MBA compete for that. And recruiters prefer to go with the btechs. Sad truth.

    Please connect with any MBA alumni from batch 2018 onwards on LinkedIn or other platforms for clarification. But I repeat its not the worth.

    I support what Amiya sir is doing here. But IITs are only meant for tech. As the ROI comes from engineering and science research and consultation.

  23. I am a fourth year Engeneering student. I am from general catagory. My CAT percentile is 96.22. 99.35 in verbal, 93 in quaint and 51 in DILR. My 10th board is 10 CGPA, 12th is 75 percentage and Ggpa 7.4

  30. Roorkee interview is only based on luck. 5 minutes interview last year they conducted for everybody. And also the calculate weightage on the basis of cat percentile not on score. Diference between 90 and 99 is very less. Everybody has a good chance and if any body selected in roorkee consider yourself lucky and u re the god's favourite child.
