Tbh I’m unsure why the gate isn’t around the trailer. There’s no need to separate the dogs from their humans. Also if he detected a threat, real or imagined he’d jump the fence to defend the trailer then you’re gonna punish him for that. I personally believe animals thrive more when they’re not isolated and even an empty trailer could bring comfort.

Ohh I feel you pain! We had a Labrador that would run as soon as your back was turned than I would have to go get him from doggie jail 🤬. He finally turned 3 years old and was our BEST pet ever😍and lived to be 14 years old, that’s why I always encourage people to keep working with their pets and when maturity catches up with them you are good 😊
