  1. My chocolate Lab didn't mind hardwood floors but hated synthetic fabrics! Hahaha Blankets etc. had to be cotton or wool or linen. But he wasn't a snob! There was an excellent reason behind the fear. Synthetics produce static electricity. Lots of nasty little zaps! Which I am positive he interpreted as bug bites πŸ˜‚He'd jump off the blanket and stare and cautiously sniff at the spot where the bugs just bit him…

  2. I cant seem to go anywhere without my 2 y/o going psycho 😒 I got him at 5 mos old. The previous owner left him alone most times from 8 weeks to when she decided to re-home this baby. So I've spent money for training but to no success. I tried cbd oil, nothing. I might try him on melatonin since Dr. Jones said it's ok to give it to dogs. I cant find a job bcoz of him. I need to work so I can keep him until that day. Any suggestions?

  3. My sweet boy Mugz was afraid of slippery floors and afraid of hight. I used to put out area rugs on my floor like Lilly pads for him to step on and walk around the house and treats to help him move from area rug to area rug with treats. As he got used to that them I use to remove some so he could get used to it. The remove a few more area rugs more treats. I'd do it for a month at a time for him to get used to it while at work and work on him more when we got home. I put stair rugs on my stairs for him as well. Lots of love and positive reinforcement went a long way for him.

  4. TRY THIS!

My little chihuahua became insecure and unstable on our tile floors when she got older. I purchased a big roll of "RESILIA Premium Floor Protector for Hardwood Floors – Easy-to-Clean, Heavy Duty Plastic Vinyl, Clear American Modern, 27 Inches x 25 Feet". That purchase immediately changed her quality of life!! It gave her the traction she needed and she was running around on it like a younger dog!

  5. My beautifully friendly sheepdog was badly injured and shaved naked by a groomer and I swear her entire personality has changed to fear, hiding even from me, shaking, PTSD. What can I do? She was always a snuggly dog and now avoids me.

  7. Sometimes as a groomer i use "flooding" when i feel like the dog is manipulating me. If there is a past trauma, i rehabilitate the dog with positive reinforcement. It takes time, but the success is very gratifying!❀

  8. I do dog rescue and dog training. YES!! YES!! YES!! I don't follow Caesar, but I DO follow YOU!! Our dogs aren't trained using food but hugs, kisses, and praise. They aren't food motivated this way. Treats are fine, but very few. You have helped our rescue group so many ways over the years saving us $1,000's of dollars, keeping our dogs WAY HEALTHIER than using traditional methods of diet and medical care. These dogs have PTSD and mental and health issues, and are happy.

  9. I recently rescued a 4+ yo Chi Pin. She's afraid of the ground outdoors. It's as if she was never outside. I'm carrying with a sling or just carrying with a leash and setting her down occasionally and she will sniff takes a couple steps and begins shaking uncontrollably. Working at it a little at a time. She turns into dead weight at the walk time.
