I don't. Its source material was awful, test screenings went poorly, and the comparisons Feige made to CA:TWS, as well as his decision to hamfistedly re-utilize TWS soundtracks for the movie, makes it seem like even they aren't confident in the film's merit on its own.

I have zero faith in Hollywood in general and Disney specifically to produce good entertainment anymore. I certainly won't be rushing out to see it on the opening weekend, but if several you tube reviewers, whom I do trust, say it is good, then maybe I'll catch it the second or third weekend.
Also, I agree with you that Bucky should have been the choice to inherit the shield from Steve. Sam was already the Falcon and I really liked his character, they didn't need to change him, he could have still teamed up with Bucky in these shows/movies.

One of the biggest problems I'm seeing is Cap's shield. It's like they're saying ….. He who holds the shield has the power of Captain America. The Man makes the shield not the other way around. With Steve Rogers being gone, so should Captain America be gone. Falcon was a good character neither the name or the shield really add anything to his character, if anything it takes away. I hope Disney takes a massive hit on it, I will not be watching.

A Captain America film where Captain America doesn't even have any superpowers is beyond stupid. His ridiculous outfit doesn't even feature a helmet to protect his very normal human head. They actually removed the top to show off his hair. That alone is beyond stupidity. But no, no one wants this. Not in the current state of Marvel yawn-athons or in the past when it was actually solid

It’s weird to not care about something on so many levels. Usually disinterest is more general and amorphous. But here we have a list of issues that inspire me to want no part in seeing this film. The first reason you mentioned is that having a Captain America with no super powers is silly. The shield being held by a regular dude isn’t compelling. Secondly I have lost faith in Disney Marvel’s ability to make good movies at this point. The bar has been set on the floor. The end credit scene gimmick no longer works since they have done very little in phase 4 to connect various movies and shows in a meaningful way. Thirdly, the lack of good villains is a problem. I’m assuming some Hydra references will be made but honestly it’s almost irrelevant. This movie will entertain me when YouTubers review it and go through an the lengthy laundry list of problems and issues within the story telling.

After the crimes Bucky committed I don't think he'd be a good idea. But then Sam was the Falcon, so making him CA compleeeetely undermines that character. Just call him Eagle or something haha
I think I'll break out my dvd of Dolph Lundgren as "The Punisher" from 1990 or the 1990s captain America movie. That would probably be a better time, or perhaps the old film of "Blade"

When Ed Brubaker was the writer for the Captain America comic book he made Bucky the new Captain America after "The Death of Captain America"(Steve Rogers). But after a while Steve Rogers was brought back as Captain America.
