There’s so much to unpack here. What stood out the most is the optimism they had for things to get better. While I agree the main DLC drops have been better where D2 falls apart is in its season content. It’s so boring mundane, same same and cookie cutter from season to season. Which is why I only buy the base DLC’s an not the season content because I can watch the weekly story for free on YouTube and they do not deserve more of my money for such lack luster an un innovative content season after season
beyond light was amazing don't know what you and that reviewer are smoking
I miss fireteam chat every week, they said they would do random episodes when the disbanded it, but I don’t think they have done anything!
It absolutely baffles me how they’ve just ignored pvp. It’s like they have just forgotten it’s even there
Rise of iron was 8 period.
Destiny 2 vanilla was 5 period.
The dark below was made before D1 released IGN is dumb 😂😂
I have an there since day 1 destiny. Its become a grind fest more than ever.It was sad to see season of the haunted with a paid pass .which was an insult .That coupled with kings fall and malice not dropping after 35 times completed is ridiculous. Even Datto and other streamers who completed all triumphs still didnt have it.This posted of a lot of guardians.I love Destiny but bungie need to working on Destiny 3 because really everything needs an overhaul as it's just the same picture painted a little different.
D2 vanialla made me quit the game until forsaken… can't believe some people actually enjoyed it
An 8.5 for vanilla D2 is CRAZY
Especially considering they gave Rise of Iron a measly 6.2…
I honestly agreed for the most part with the first four scores lol then they lost me
Loving the content man keep up the great work
Holy shit Destins D2 vanilla review aged like milk.
22:50 this hurts so much I cant
You think CoO was the low point for destiny? More so than d1 year 1? Or even dark below? Yeah, interesting opinion bud.
November…I like a lot of your content…but one area I definitely disagree with you on is the vanilla destiny 2 campaign. I played destiny 1 and even though the game had a lot to like…I was heavily let down by the campaign. I fell in love with destiny 2 because of the campaign feeling so epic. I don’t think any campaign comes even close to any of it. We start by losing the last city and the traveler. We lose the light…end up at the farm in the outskirts where we reassemble the vanguard after getting our light back. We eventually get everyone back together…we kill thumos before stealing his ship to board the almighty to shut off its main weapon allowing us to do a raid on the last city and taking ghaul down. Complaints i find with the caimpaign are that we lost the light for like 5 minutes and that ghaul in a story mission. They couldn’t really change the mechanic of our ghost resizing us as the mechanic is core to the game. I think people that loved taken king hated how we didn’t face ghaul in the raid like oryx. Bungie did a lot wrong with destiny 2 and swung the pendulum way to far to the opposite direction favoring the casual gamer to step in for an hour and get loot and exotics for not doing a whole lot. The game is way better that it swung back the other way, but unfortunately balancing for PvP…not breaking the game in PvE to give us better loot are almost impossible. Taken king and forsaken campaigns were good…but none of them have as good of a story creating the high stakes we faced in red war. I really think we need to separate the caimpaign and all the rest of the stuff that was wrong with the game in vanilla destiny 2.
i would definately like to talk with you about how ive enjoyed the games so far i got into them when rise of iron came out
I finally just stopped playing, my love of the Destiny franchise, lore and community, doesnt make up for an undersupported AAA game pretending to be an overworked indie game anymore.
the only reason i liked destiny was because it was a new game i could try i usually played call of duty halo or minecraft (i had an old xbox 360 that had a bunch of problems) when i played destiny i was shocked because everything about it was new to me except the high jumping of course and fight aliens but the thing was it wasnt just the same stuff over and over again because it felt like a campaign that never ended and when i beat the black garden on my new xbox one which i forgot to mention but thats not important when i beat the black garden i was kinda sad because i wanted to do more well i could have but when i was 11 which was the time when i beat it i could have asked my mom to buy me a dlc for the game but the game was too old so i dipped and went to destiny 2 and had a blast i still shed tears for when i played destiny for the first time i had so much fun
Beyond Light is so underrated imo. Probably the most fun I’ve had in D2
God I miss Destiny 1…even in it’s vanilla state before the TTK update, it was just so much fun. I don’t think I’ll ever experience that feeling again with another game, but I honestly hope I’m wrong and some other game comes along that makes me fall in love with games again.
Seeing that bright engram popup during the D2Y1 review really sent me back
I feel like these reviewers aren't really as into the game as someone like Skill Up, so they just didn't understand how disappointing D2 vanilla truly was. Skill Up is a genuine fan, someone who plays it as often as a lot of us, so he tends to understand the game a bit more.
Destiny 2 is a steaming pile of gold covered shit. Bungle is a terrible exploitative game company conning people out of their money for practically nothing. The only people that support Bungle are moron whales that can't play anything that requires skill. Only spam.
22:55 that didnt age quite so well (jontron)
The review about beyond Light really bothers me, the story is not dark, theres no corruption in wielding stasis at all, i mean wot
I know the whole "hindsight 20/20" saying but sometimes I think back and I'm just like how does Bungie keep doing such stupid things. It seems like so much of the outcome of things are just completely predictable.
I'm off today and I'm binging your long form vids while I do my errands and stuff. I know a friend who's been playing Destiny way longer than I have, and she'll like these as well so I'll send this one her way. Subbed.
I agree with most of their ratings, but a 9 for TTK!? How can you even think about rating TTK lower than a 9.5? At least it's rated the same as Forsaken. If Forsaken was rated higher than TTK, I would've lost all remaining respect I had for IGN.
