Emma was an 18-year old from Mt. Vernon, IL. She was a college student at SIU Edwardsville. Emma was killed by a distracted and impaired driver during a crash on I-57 in Jefferson County.

Life or Death Illinois is a campaign developed by the Illinois Department of Transportation to promote safe driving habits and to educate on the danger associated with careless driving habits such as drinking and driving (Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over); Seat Belts (Click It or Ticket), Motorcycle Safety, Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety, Distracted Driving and Work Zone Safety.
