  1. Love to see the 25th stuff. My wife and I got married during the 25th anniversary and went to Disney World for our honeymoon. And yes we are still married 😉. Hopefully going to Disney World in June.

  2. January 1997 was my family's first visit to Disney World. I didn't go. Somebody had to stay back and go to work, and I had three jobs. Just TRY to get vacation time away from three different schedules!! I couldn't, so my wife took our daughter. She was five. My wife was pregnant with our second child, so the pictures I have of the two of them standing in front of the Birthday Cake Castle are precious to me. First, it's one of very few I have of my pregnant wife. She hated getting her photo taken with a belly. I thought she looked cute, but that didn't matter. Second, every trip since has included our second daughter, and so have every Disney World photo. I wish I could have been there, but it was not to be.

  3. First visit was 1997, over the years I have acquired a lot of 25th merchandise, even have a banner that hung from the lampposts on Main Street and a 2ft piece of the vinyl wrap they used for the castle decoration. Good times. 🎉

  4. The only park anniversary I've been able to go to is Disneyland's 60th. I wasn't a huge parks fan at the time so I remember being slightly confused why they were still celebrating in 2016😅 but I did love the castle lights/decorations and the diamond celebration cupcake😁

  5. 4:30 I came to WDW for the first time as a father in 2005. The in-room Disney feed seemed to always be playing the short “Hawaiian Holiday” during our trip. Fast forward 17 years and we’re now local pass-holders walking around Festival of the Arts and see a Hawaiian Holiday print being sold. It’s now framed and hanging in our living room and reminds me of that first trip every time I walk past.

  6. I brought my 2-1/2 year old son to chef mickey’s this morning for the breakfast meet and greet and i gave him the autograph book that i used as a kid back in 1998. We had a half dozen staff members come to the table just to see the book!

  7. My first visit EVER to a Disney theme park took place during WDW's 15th anniversary. I was a sophomore in high school, and this trip marked my first trip in an airplane as well. (Also my brother's and, if you can believe it, my mom's!!) Although I've visited Disney parks hundreds of times since then (living in Los Angeles for 11 years, with an annual pass, and now of course, Florida..along with other random trips along the way)…this first visit always holds a special place in my heart. I remember they did some sort of random prize giveaway at the entrance…we won a small prize and were so excited.

But here's the REAL legacy from that trip….my dad decided we needed to attend one of those timeshare pitch events during the trip. He had no intention of purchasing a timeshare…he just wanted the neat Disney clock they were giving away as the incentive to attend. My brother and I were so mad we wasted a day of our vacation at that thing. It hangs in my parents' house to this day. Recently, my folks asked if there were any particular items i wanted left to me in their wills. My response, "I really don't care what you give to who….except you WILL leave me that dang clock!!!"

  8. 1:54 You’re not calling them out to be a jerk, you do it because you care about something that means something to you. That shined through here when you said thank you and not “finally, what a bunch of idiots.”

  9. It would have been nice to have the parking lot trams when arriving at opening time on Wine & Dine Marathon weekend, since we ended up having to park in the second-to-last row. The parking lot was packed with marathoner cars, and there were a ton of empty parking spaces all over because those marathoners had started leaving as they finished, but they wouldn't let us go to the closer spaces.

  10. Still have all our WDW 15th anniversary mottos. That was a big one for me (us). My wife and I spend our honeymoon there and it was my first time to visit a Disney park. We where the biggest kids. Loved every minute. We spent our 35 wedding anniversary there also….

  11. Wow, that was fast! Great job, WDWNT! I hope the cast members who had to scrub that nasty gunk off got a lot of appreciation for their very hard work. That definitely took some elbow grease. Disney needs to appreciate their cast members and their customers and not let things get to the point where poor cast members have to do such a massive cleaning in one go.

  12. Been looking forward to cake castle merch for months. Loungefly are wizards at making materials look a certain way. There’s no doubt in my mind they can make faux leather look like concrete disguised as brick covered in fondant that looks like concrete. Make it happen Disney!
