Denver Broncos Just Got Good & Bad News…

So much for a slow news week—YOUR Denver Broncos just got some good and bad news.

The Bad News:

The Las Vegas Raiders actually made a solid coaching hire. Pete Carroll is one of the top 50 NFL coaches in winning percentage, and having an experienced leader in the room for the Raiders is a real bummer. It would have been great to see them hire another flameout coach, but instead, we get another Super Bowl-winning coach in our division.

The Good News:
That said, the silver lining of the Pete Carroll hire is the possibility of a Russell Wilson reunion in Las Vegas—and it’d be a lot of fun to play him twice a year. Plus, it also means Vance Joseph is back to coach our defense for another season. While many in Broncos Country wanted Vance gone (especially with the excitement over the compensatory picks that would have come with a change), I’m actually excited for another year of continuity. That consistency played a huge role in how this defense skyrocketed up the rankings this year.

The Other News:

The New York Jets hired our Assistant GM, Darren Mougey, and that’s a bit concerning at this stage. He’s spent an entire season working draft tape alongside George Paton, and now you have to wonder if the knowledge he gained will benefit the Jets—on Denver’s dime.

Let me know in the comments:
How are you feeling about keeping Vance Joseph for another year?
What do you think about Pete Carroll coaching the Raiders?
As always, we have a TON to Bo-LIEVE in!

  1. Buffalo is the better team, scored way more points than KC and beat them earlier this year. Plus, with all the media scrutiny of officiating in Chiefs games, I think the refs may be a little less willing to throw questionable pro-KC flags. If so, I'm not sure KC can keep up with the Bills offense. After the way the Texans could run on KCs defense I think Cook et al will get big yards and convert third downs all day.

  4. The offense didn't show up, and the defense kept the game close in the first half. The Bills was just a better team. Someone had to take the blame. In this case, the defense and Vance, of course.

  5. I think that changes that take place is beyond our control. I wouldn't worry about what's happening w other teams. I don't think Pete is coaching long term there and besides he needs a quarterback before they are going to be competitive.

  6. We'll be known as the old guy coaches divisions. I do not believe he will do well in Vegas. But I do think we'll be the toughest division in the AFC. I am pulling for the Chiefs. Would love to watch a historic event. Last team to do it was the '29-'31 Packers. However at that time they did not play a championship game. Best record won the title. I think a championship game did not start until '32. Remember Ben, practice, practice, practice. 😅
