Discovery is Killing Cartoon Network

Dark times are ahead as numerous Cartoon Network shows have been wiped from the internet, ranging from HBO Max to their YouTube channels. Infinity Train, OK KO and Summer Camp Island are just some of the shows being removed. While animation isn’t alone in this, signs are pointing to Warner Bros Discovery SHUTTING DOWN Cartoon Network by the end of the year. Is this it for the legendary powerhouse?

  2. This is honestly tragic, Cartoon Network was such a massive part of nah childhood, and even now animated shows are a huge part of my life and my creativity, and it’s just being humiliated and thrown away

  3. That's okay, the younger generation has now been given a reason to learn how to torrent responsibly, and that will have repercussions for the company's income for decades to come.

  4. dark times for animations that don't have merch that floats the project in the black. yeah if a merger happens you have to show your worth keeping cause if you show to the incoming bosses that you, your section, or the entire branch is dead weight then it's gone. they don't need dead weight they need profits to make back what they are spending on the merger. cause mergers are, one company is not doing well and some other competing company thinks well we can buy that they have stuff we think we can make money with.

  5. It’s what happens when your bleeding money for years and the investors put someone in place to fix that. Cartoon Network, Rooster Teeth, and DC Comics are all on the cutting block. And they have only themselves to blame

  6. Not only are they cancelling and removing cartoons but they're making it so you cannot watch them without having to pirate them. It's really really weird. They even took the pilot for Infinity Train off youtube despite there being no reason to do it. That youtube pilot was how the show even got picked up by them and made into a full show

  7. It’s all the subtle notes that people that work or study about an industry ignore.
I wanted to be in the video game industry. Then as I was finishing high school, I noticed something…
All of the people that made the most successful games what they are, left the companies or were leaving. Flash forward to now… people suffering from stage 9001 TDS made the crappy saints row reboot that just came out, and are making GTA 6, and are responsible for CoD Vanguard. Vanguard was a mess, Saints Row Reboot is garbage, and GTA 6 will be a dumpster fire that will convince people to go back to 5. Why did I mention the medical condition TDS (it’s essentially a mental health condition to blindly hate DJT now)? Because that biased rage ended up leaking into game development. GTA 6 announced a female Hispanic main character… and that’s it. No gameplay, no explaining how 6 is better than 5, nothing but virtue signaling. The animation industry is the same, as is the entertainment industry as a whole. They aren’t hiring the best of the best or the ones that will do more than the best… they are only hiring to fill pointless diversity quotas with people that will just coast and milk paychecks (which is how you go about with entry level jobs).

But this is how it has to happen. The end of mega corps is happening. We will rebuild and make entertainment great again.

  9. I remember when animation took you into a world that felt real. Thundercats, Heman, Batman Adventures, Superman, Young Justice all had a ralistic vibe. Modern animation tends to look like doodles you'd draw in class when you're bored.
Add to that the forced wokeism that is being peddled in many modern cartoons, good riddance to Cartoon Network. I stopped watching years ago.

  10. At&T wasn't mentioned, an old company so heavily leveraged, pumping bonuses for every merger and acquisition into incompetent executives when lawyers and accountant do WHATEVER WORK this is… mostly dudes birthed into a social order of privilege.

Too bad nobody on the Board has enough sense to DEMAND Executive Pay is dependent upon RESULTS.

Talentless Hacks – daddy's boys raking in millions for running businesses into the red? Apparently, this is the American Way, short-sighted opportunist parasites in control ruin businesses/governments/everything they touch.

Umm, also the cartoons and creative works disappear, all executed with ZERO accountability…

Huzzah! Sociopaths don't care, and call that their SUPERPOWER.
