Located in south central North Dakota, expect farming and ranching videos, and a few other topics that may come up within the ag industry and politics. We grow variety crops (barley, rye, durum, wheat, oats, corn, soybeans, flaxeed) and run simmental/angus/saler mixed cattle herd. Always looking for ways to improve the operation and what I can do to improve the soil I farm.
Nothing flashy, but I continue to grow this business as being part of the 4th Generation of this farm. My name is Brooks, and I hope you can learn something and maybe I can learn something from you.

Definitely agree with you on the red snapper insulators. We also went with the patriot insulators. Equipment prices have been unreal lately.
I heard that some professional hunters in my area have been wracking out the coyotes here with night scopes. Must work pretty good because I almost never hear them anymore.
Prices of new equipment is terrible but prices at the auctions I think are worse. Just crazy.
Coyotes around for calving is not something anyone wants. They found a good home to rest.
That skunk how she was really concentrating on drinking that water. Yeah that sucks with that bull oh, I don't know what's worse coming out and being surprised with a dead animal or fighting trying to save an animal and watching them slowly go down
22% interest in the early 80’s ended my farming days
if you sold the tractor, you couldn't afford a replacement for the same price..
You are sitting pretty good if u can pay for full season inputs without an operating loan.
Interest rates are ridiculous even only being 8%. Because most people bought with inflated prices
Our outer pastures are under snow too. Everybody is locked up near the barns with hay and we’re hoping they don’t go exploring for drifts they could cross to get out. Like how your cows are like pets. You’re smart to be wary of over-extending. Lots of ex-farmers over-borrowed in the 80’s too.
