  1. I knew about Mike and Sulley's cameo in Tokyo Mater, but never realized that the sign actually read 'Harryhausen's' (Which by the way is actually a nod to the legendary stop motion animator Ray Harryhausen.)

However, I had no idea that Joe Ranft was the one who coined that phrase! Not is it a clever line that speak volumes about the process of writing, but it also goes to show just how much of Mater's character came from Joe. May he rest in peace. 😢🙏🏻

I'd also like to point out two things:
    1. Aside from being the Director of both Finding Nemo and WALL·E, (as well as the Co-Director of A Bug's Life) Andrew Stanton also provided the voices of Emperor Zurg in Toy Story 2, and Crush in Finding Nemo.

    2. Kabuto and Boost are actually the same kind of car, just with different modifications.

  3. i think some things in the cars movie disappear and reappear is because, your enjoying the movie so much that you forget about those things and then they reappear but its probably because the animators just forget or something

  4. If Mater's Tall Tales was canon (which it is clearly not, because Kabuto made a cameo in Cars 2, but he was still in his drifter form, even though he was stock at the end of Tokyo Mater), then Kabuto would still be stock in Cars 2. I feel like Kabuto would've joined Professor Zundapp and the lemons.

  6. The way I see it. The construction zone signs never existed. The zoom in shot was of McQueen visualizing the signs symbolizing a finish line. Same with the other time we see it because that’s when McQueen finished paving the road, or crossing the finish line.
