  1. I like to think the Hive Mind saw the power of the Emperor and the legion and decided to wait.
It saw the threat and thought to itself "Ehh I got time. This dude is on a mortal clock, I'm gonna wait it out."

  2. While Ouroboris is indeed the first definitive invasion by a Tyranid fleet the 4th edition Tyranid codex says that a scan of the Titan from that conflict showed the damage occurred post Horus heresy. Ouroboros was probably a scout fleet sent to scan the Milky Way the wake of the Pharos device exploding during the heresy and one of the Primarchs who was still around when it came by like Leman Rus fought it off with the legend later on getting mangled. So no, the Emperor played no known direct part in that conflict though maybe he might’ve done some psychic shenanigans from the throne to support Leman.

  3. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, a Tyrannic emperor, like Kerrigan from Starcraft 2, would be a really cool concept.

Yeah it would detract from the overwhelming beastly force of the nids, but it would be an interesting concept to play around with

  4. It’s interesting to think that the Big E and Malcador played chess with the pieces as the legions.

They both probably had so many day long conversations about what primarchs would be the biggest loss to the imperium if they fell.

I reckon the Emperor decided on the ones he needed the most in the long term and let the others fall.

Lorgar, Fulgrim, Mortarion, Curze, Angron, Perturabo & Horus were deemed less needed than the rest.

Then again they couldn’t work out which would become the biggest pain in the ass.

I reckon of them all, the emperor regrets losing Perturabo the most.

He was as talented and forward thinking as anyone else and his legion is definitely the best for long term conflicts.

The Nids wouldn’t stand a chance against a full legion under the command of Perturabo.

If Perty and Dorn were both alive right now and both loyal, fuck being any other race taking on the imperium.

Perturabo would set up entire planets that would be blown up completely as bait for enemies.
