When I heard about the shooting last week in Oakland that left several people injured i thought, well, another wonderful opportunity for blacks to break down well earned stereotypes by being civil, peaceful, and showing the world they can celebrate together in a large group without barbarity and violence is tragically wasted.

Ja Rule was decently big when I was in high school. But I wouldn't say he was massive, or massively successful. Most people I knew, myself included, HATED Ja Rule and his songs with JLo and whoever TF else. When he came out on Murder Records, and songs like Holla Holla, amd screaming "it's murda" made him doing Dancy bopp-pop club songs, just made him seem sell out real fast. Then he started showing up looking like a literal Pac impersonator for children's parties…. He was dead to us, at least us on the west coast who knew what Pac really was and what he was doing. It would have been like if James Brown suddenly started acting like James Baldwin….GTFO with that. So he probably had the most popular time in his career beefing with 50, and then with eminem.
Drake is Drake bro. No one expected Drake to beat Kendrick. I have more respect for Drake now for even stepping in the ring unlike J. Cole . Cole career will definitely be affected.
