Vehicles to Robots: 0:09
Robots to Parts: 6:37
Assembly: 11:23
Short run back to Vehicles: 11:58
End credits: 12:42

Production Note: What an enormous pain in the ass this was. Thanks to Robert Zalkind for dropping by for the shoot! I had to sit Split on a black beanbag since he can’t really stand. It’s the same wrist rest I used for Studio Cell (Unicron) to cradle the planet mode. I could have made a REALLY long video, but I decided to hurry back to vehicle mode and dispense with a normal speed run. I set up the final combined reveal to coincide with the dramatic moment in “Pride Before the Fall”. I kept the hurry-up for Split to get back to truck mode from the original video, since Split had already gotten enough time as it was going from truck to robot.

Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.

Music: The music is by Ethan Meixsell – www.ethanmeixsell.com
Songs: “Demise”, “By the Sword”, “Angel of Mercy”, “In the Shadows”, “Rise”, and “Pride Before the Fall”

  1. The easiest time I've ever seen Split (AKA Mixmaster) being transformed.
Your skill and patience are on a different level and after seeing you do these guys and that Alien Attack Megatron I really have to say…

Bro, you okay? Cause I'd need therapy after transforming them but to do it as stop motion too?
    You alright?

  2. flashbacks of Split Can't wait for my Scrapper to come. I really look forward to getting this guy all together and then putting him next to the SS Dev, which I don't have complete either and just seeing what more money can do sometimes 😛

  3. I can tell how painful this video must've taken to make due to the extremally quick and sudden transitions between each character. It's pretty obvious that you just wanted to get this done and over with. I don't blame you tho cuz these transformations are super painful, plus I can't imagine how painful it is to do it IN STOPMOTION and still have it this clean. Awesome job!

  4. One of my favorite in universe details about movie devastator is that it walks on all fours because it’s so physically painful for them to combine and movie around in that form that walking like a gorilla is the only way they could move themselves

  5. Oh man, the most elaborate combiner ever and it's all for that fugly ball swinging aberration from that cluster of a movie. …Sigh Ah well, it's still quite something to behold them all doing the thing in stop motion.
