We need to find a way to take out Russias nukes. It’s fine to have expensive stealth planes and offensive weapons to deter other nuclear armed nations from using nukes. That is, unless those hostile nuclear armed nations have unhinged leaders like Putin. What we need is a way to neutralize Russias nukes when they are launched. What has the pentagon been doing with nearly an annual trillion dollar budget every year? We give them our tax dollars to protect us but if that maniac in Moscow decides to push the button and they can’t stop his nukes what are we giving the pentagon all that money for?
