Honestly saw that thumbnail and questioned what I was missing while on break from Destiny for once.. Then, I thought about it a bit more and realized before I selected the video ^^'

LoL, But Rasputin was meant to be subordinate to the will and whims of Clovis Bray, it was thanks to ANOTHER Bray that Rasputin gained an independence such that he COULD put in place such protocols AND subvert Clovis's control permanently.

They REALLY made Rasputin into a wuss right before he died. Making him all sentimental even though absolute extinction was on the horizon.
Not to mention, he’s not just a weapon of mass destruction. Him freezing Mars’ poles to stop Nokris’ brood when he couldn’t exterminate them showed he has non-lethal methods.
If only we had another golden age mind who may have discovered an ANCIENT ICE POWER THAT STOPS TIME, we might have able to do something I guess.
I theorize that once we step inside the traveler, we are going to see a memory of our Gurdian from the collapse, like Joxxer did about his family.
It still seems lazy what they did with Rasputin in Seraph. We had plenty of evidence that his weapons/warsats were never the least bit effective against any paracausal force, let alone the pyramid ships. He failed at every turn to even damage the black fleet or stop the darkness. His warsats wouldn't have even scratched the Traveler. I feel like Bungie just wrote themselves into a corner and had no idea what to do with Rasputin in world so they just killed him off.
