  1. Black Shield was legitimately one of THE best maps in D1. It was just a circle with 3 lanes but it aesthetic, the closeness of the fights in Clash and Rumble, mixed in with the heavy focus on gunplay rather than ability spam…it felt like a Halo map….

  2. They can't port Frontier to D2 cuz people will realize that disjunction is just a re-skin 💀
fr tho Black Shield, Firebase Delphi and First Light should be playable in D2

  3. Destiny 2 has 25 active crucible maps, and of those, 11 are from Destiny 1. That means Destiny 2 somehow has less playable maps than Destiny 1 even though being “supported” for twice as long and being able to port old maps from its predecessor.

  4. Bungie: We were bought for 3.6 billion dollars
also Bungie: guys game dev is hard, we cant overdeliver, also we have no resources to bring back old maps, but heres one new map!! 😔👉👈

  5. What if bungie made a zombies chronicles type dlc? And sold all the unused d1 maps into d2 for like $20 or something. I know paying for it would exclude others and diminish the playlist but, i would LOVE to have these maps back. It would make crucible, "spicy" again. At least for me

  6. destiny 2 devs are just lazy at this point. i miss when games wouldn’t be scared to “overdeliver” and instead of getting the bare minimum of content they push out some microwaved shit held together with rice and glue

  7. Judging with the current META:

Asylum looks like SMG hell at this point…❌
Bastion is a Combined Arms map that would be hated in current meta like Disjuntion is.❌
Black Shield is like Firebase Echo and Cauldron had a baby❌
Blindwatch would end favouring anyone with the high ground❌
Crossroads is kinda ok, like that one EDZ map with the man cannons and the drill in the middle was♒
Drifter is a fustercluck of corridors, we already complain about Anomaly and Exodus Blue being too tight of maps for 6v6s❌
Dungeons seems ok, but I have distinct "Twilight Gap" vibes and I hate that map with a passion♒
Firebase Delphi looks like Retribution without the platforms and open air♒
First Light is another combined arms map, so this is a "no"❌
Floating Gardens look nice, would fit in well✅
Frontier would be a good addition✅
Icarus would fit in Gambit, but I would hate to play any PvP on it…❌
Last Exit seems another SMG hell…❌
Memento is way to cramped to be enjoyable for anyone other than shotgun apes❌
    Sector 618… hahahahaha NO.❌
Skyline looks like Meltdown, so I would allow it✅
Skyshock would make everyone like Disjunction, if the combined arms wouldn't come back…❌
Thieves' Den makes that Tangled Shore map look enjoyable…❌
The Timekeeper looks like Distant Shore and Twilight Gap mashed together, but very poorly…❌
Vertigo was a well thought up map for consoles with 2 Sensibility movement, right now, movement tech would make it unenjoyable to anyone❌

My verdict = three maps could be re-implemented without much work, three maps are ok enough to be reimplemented after some reworks, 15 maps are not designed to fit the pace of the game with the movement, weapon nd exotic META, engagement ranges and overal speed, and as such, would require massive reworks to be somewhat enjoyable.

Not everything can NOR should be brought to Destiny 2 and people need to take off the rose-tinted glasses. These maps remained in Destiny 1 for a reason.

  8. They really should bring back black shield, or at the very least recreate it with a new destination theme, I always thought it was a pretty fun map, used to dookie on people with hammer of sol on that map, it would make a cool elimination Map
