He's a potential borderline all-star for the Spurs before his many injuries. Also, he should be an all-defense on 2018-2019. Derrick is that good before he comes into Boston. Sadly, his athleticism and burst is not the same as before.

Yeah this was Spurs Derrick White in the flesh right here. Probably the most confident I’ve seen White move and shoot since he’s been with the Celtics
It’s like DWhite’s shot got better during the playoffs and he’s carried it over to this season lol
The way he has improved his 3pt shot over a summer is uber impressive. He is a completely different shooter
despite him struggling in the beginning of the season in the starting lineup he learned a lot from coming off the bench and he learned a lot from watching from the bench and it’s translating into his starting role more and more

Boston has real quality players that could be starters coming off the bench
I definitely feel white is much quicker off his feet and his conditioning has improved immensely over the summer. He’s constantly stripping balls away or getting to loose balls every game. On top of that he’s always finding a way to affect the shot even though loses position. Great game and some beautiful passing; made the right decision almost every play.
I feel sorry for the teams that don’t have a guy like I’m to step in(not really). I bet teams won’t disrespect him by leaving him open this year. looks at Draymond
