Quick maths. The money supply of the british pound, as in how much money exists, increased from about 2.4 trillion before wuflu to to 3.2 trillion. Increase by one third, conveniently enough. Meaning that everything should cost one third more on average. That is the equivalent of 25% additional tax. If you bought, let's say, milk for 100 pounds, you would now have to pay 133 pounds for the 100 pounds worth, and inversely, if it was tax instead you would need to work for 133 pounds worth of your work to get paid 100 pounds and then buy the milk.

Boris Johnson and BREXIT (an anti-mass-immigration movement) is like that episode of the Simpsons when Lisa helps Mr Burns build an "ethical" business after he goes broke. He ultimately ends up repurposing a million plastic sixpack holders to "sweep the sea clean of life" to make a "multipurpose slurry" made from "100% recycled animals". Lisa tells him: "when you try not to be evil, you're even more evil." Burns is like: "I don't understand…Engines need coolant, farmers need animal feed, dynamiters need dynamite. I provide it to them at a tidy profit, and not one sea animal was wasted."
