  1. Pinned Comment:
-Whoops, forgot Lancer also knows the Legend if you refuse to listen to Ralsei. Probably doesn't affect any of my Geoff conclusions, but figured I'd point it out.
-Before writing any comments that use Geoff's Twitter take-over as proof of him being "real," keep in mind that Toby has stated that tweets are non-canon.
-Geoff ruining the narrative by being "real" is not equivalent to our choices not mattering as a result of the timeloop. The former is bad because it tells us that DELTARUNE's characters don't matter. The latter is fine because it's a tragedy we experience alongside the characters.

  2. I believe there is a way for Geoff to see through reality and have a red soul without breaking the suspension of disbelief. There doesn't seem to be any souls or magic in Deltarune's world, so what if the soul is artificial? If we can create a goner, it's not that much of a stretch. Perhaps Geoff doesn't know what the higher power (us) is but just needs us for something, perhaps to close the dark fountains that the knight created, to stop the roaring, and to save the lives that are real to him, even if it's just a game to us.

Of course we can cut out the middleman and say he did something to Kris' soul that allowed us to control it, but that asks the question of how we could use Kris' soul to control Susie when she fought Lancer and talk to Noelle while Kris is down during Snowgrave.

  3. I always interpreted "GALLERY" to mean Rouge's Gallery. A collection of foes/criminals. This song only plays when the two main chapter antagonists are, *arguably* at their most villanous.

It just reminds me of that thing Toby said. About how he imagined Kris and the others running up the stairs past previous chapters bosses up to the knight.

Running past their rouge's gallery, you might say

  4. I'm pretty sure a "drone" is just for suspense, I don't really see the technological aspect. I mean, sometimes drones mean something mechanical, but they usually just build suspense because scary geoff death. I also believe that AUDIO_STORY could mean a lot of things, it could mean hope found in darkness and despair, could be a metaphor for depression. Perhaps closing fountains causes bad things that we haven't been told yet, but they're ultimately good. Also the Cheshire cat my be a mistake on Toby's part, he might have forgot to delete the character if he scrapped it before the release of chapter 2.

  5. plenty of stuff here felt very right and i can very readily agree with it pretty easily, i'd say though that maybe the undertale leitmotif coming up in the menu as well as just the legend being stylized the way it is as well as the tracks that seem "adjusted by ralsei" on the screens that also seem "adjusted by ralsei" to me seem all pretty indicative as you said of making things intentionally seem more game-y but very specifically the game that ralsei is trying to mimic would be UNDERTALE, he may have peered into UNDERTALE through the shadow crystals and he may have as a result wanted to make the heroes of deltarune feel more like their story is actually closer to UNDERTALE since that story ends on a much happier note (assuming true pacifict) than the deltarune timeloop would. Perhaps that's even why he takes on the appearance of a being similar to Asriel and why his name is Ralsei too, he might not have always had it but decided upon it after seeing the parallel story UNDERTALE. Plus i recall Toby saying something about "for those who played UNDERTALE, i don't think i can give you something that will make you feel THAT way again…(forgot the rest)" and i think Ralsei trying to recreate aspects of UNDERTALE and trying to make you feel THAT way again despite this being a different story feels like it would be pretty in-line with such an approach, it would be BECAUSE Toby knows he can't make you feel that way that using Ralsei as a character who might try to would be a way to sort of pull a sneaky one on us to instead give us a different feeling, whatever it may be. overall i feel like with the intepretation that Ralsei has been trying to change things that he kinda shouldnt and that he's been given a shadow crystal it makes it very possible that Ralsei is gonna be used in the way to set up a feeling of familiarity that's going to be twisted upon in some way, but i think that despite his effort to recreate likely not ending in the happiest way ever (if the timeloop doesn't stop) it will still be something important and kind of similar because he is still trying his best. Like a nostalgia bait that both tricks you and does evoke something special that's kinda familiar (but different) at the same time.

  6. As a Gaster Cultist, I am very very sorry that Gaster atheists bullied you for referring to Our Lord as Mystery man or by his very very handsome name directly. I like Geoff, but if I may suggest, i have an alternative you should consider.
See, I myself don't like to refer to Our Lord by name as I am not worthy of speaking his HOLY name until I've sucessfuly broken someone's sanity and turned them into an extremely dangerous sociopath longing for mass murder by giving them a Redpill about our society that they cannot handle.
So, until then I will only refer to him as Our Glorious Supreme Redpilled Sigma Male Scientist Lord of Darkness. It is in your best interest to do the same. In exchange, Our Cult will provide you with virtual pats on the head 😇🙏🛐

  7. about the becoming more aggressive:king was aggressive in front of the fountain, sure, but that’s the only time we see him. All the other times we see queen she isn’t nearly as hostile as when she is close to the dark fountain.

  9. I think that the Undertale theme in Before the story correlates with your San's theory. After the roaring it was somber but then because sans arrived in Undertale, the Undertale theme plays.
