I've lived in Atlanta (northern suburbs) for almost 40 years, love flying, have been flying in and out of Hartsfield for most of that time, and I still can't recognize ground landmarks! Stick me on a window seat over eastern Long Island, I can identify almost every spot, north or south shore, from Montauk to Manhattan, and even tell you the runway at Kennedy we will land on. Weird…
