Decorating with Thrifted Treasures in the Cottage – (story 45)

Hello, friends! I recently thrifted some awesome vintage goodies for the cottage. I didn’t know what to do with them … but I loved them so much I couldn’t leave them. But I finally found a place for them in the cottage. And I also finally started tackling my mess of a garden. What have you been up to? I’d love to hear about it in the comments : )

Thank you so, so much for being here : ) I really appreciate it!!!!!!

  1. I am so sorry you got lyme disease, it's horrible but wearing pants is absolutely necessary in tick-infested areas. I love your little garden what's wrong with some leaves and weeds? it's a process, we do what we can when we can.

  2. Charlie is such a funny little guy🙂 Loved the blueberry treat-so cute and the water drinking or maybe it was water snorting trick🤪 It was hilarious! Lime and tick disease is so scary! Glad you are being careful. The addition of your lace curtains and the piano coverlet are very feminine touches☺️

  3. I’m in love with those night time sounds in your yard! It’s very magical, just like you and Charlie! Give him a little hug from me and my kids we love him! Ps: I hope we get to see more of your treasure hunts! Your part of the country sure has nice ones! ❤

  5. You may want to get some chickens, they are good for insect control and a childs plastic pool and fill it with diatomaceous earth in which they will take a dusting in it, which kills the ticks. You will need shelter to enclose them in from bad weather and wild animals. Something to ponder on.❤

  6. Nice additions. I feel for youu, as like you, I am a gardner in So Ca. My raised beds are on top of gravel, with no tick problem. Ticks would change the whole gardening feel for me.

  7. My garden, most parts, look (and are) so neglected too. As I got my greenhouse in May, all of my energy went into that, my tomatoes are great, but kale and chard/spinach are being munched by tiny green and greedy 🐛 caterpillars… thank you for this beautiful episode, cheers from a very gray and cool Irish „summer“…

  8. Charlie is a real cutie…. I always park the farthest away to get my steps and just leave the upfront spots for people that need it or want it. Glad you’re back out in your garden take it step-by-step.❤

  9. To help itchy mosquito bites, make a paste with yarrow flower and leaf. The juices from the yarrow will help to stop the itching. 💛 I love the little lacy bit on your garden fence. Such a great idea!!! Genius!!
