Just came from shopping. I live country Victoria in Australia..
Its a large supermarket called Coles..anyway no more cashier's, all selfe service..we put all on the band , then scanning and packing. They got 8 selve service for small shopping, eg…using a basket.
Theres a girl watching and on standby in case the machine is playing up.
Then there are 6 others for large shopping, again theres one staff watching and assist with playing up.
A 3rd staff member is at the cigarette, return, complain desk..
That's all.
The self serving for small shopping was already there for a while..But consumers refused to go there much because we wanted to keep the jobs open for the young. Nowvis force..more or less..
Then a Chinese restaurant/ take away opened. The staff are robots. No waitress in human form.
This is going toooo fast definitely.
