  1. So i have watched tons of reviews from big and small people. What i put together is that it's a solid old school zombie game. Decent story, fun gameplay, fantastic gore and a good time with friends.

I rather this then the sad mess dying light 2 was, luckily it is getting better so hopefully i will have two different fun zombie games to play.

The only difference i see between these two games is the parkour and the open world environment. Imo i didn't want this game to have parkour that's dying lights job. The fact that the combat and gore looks better and is more cinematic is a yes for me. If the story is better then dying light 2 i'll be happy because it was ehhhhh.

  2. Im sorry but after Dying Light 2, all the RE remakes and Back 4 Blood, Last Of Us, and Back 4 Blood as well this game will definitely flop. There’s an over saturation of zombie games right now in the market. No one’s paying full price for this.

  3. I absolutely love how you pointed out the benifits of having the game split up into smaller levels instead of having a fully open world. I think that if there is a positive side to something, a good reviewer should always point it out. I will have to see how big the levels actually are, but the idea sounds good to me.

  4. I'm not really into fps melee combat, it's what put me off from the original game. Also didn't like the super zombies, I just found it off putting 😂 🤷🏾‍♂️. I also didn't care for the tone after seeing that awesome trailer. This looks more like the same. So nah, I'll pass.

  5. So i guess we should all be happy just that it was released? the game was in develepoment for over 10 years and is mediocre at best.. the longer the game is in development the better it needs to be. its a diapointment.

  6. Mediocre review, if you ask me. It finishes stating that the melee combat is deep and the setting is rich, but I don't recall it providing an in-depth account of how the melee combat even works. It barely fleshes out its explanation about the general gameplay mechanics, what's good about them and why.

The review spends much of its time raving about how cool the damage models are, while failing to explain what makes the gameplay deep or intricate. For example: I am well aware of the fact that there's a lot of weapon variety and that they all feel 'different', but that doesn't tell me much of anything. Different how? And to what extent? And does it make much of a difference?

In addition, the review barely speaks on whether the various playstyles are equally fleshed out, or if they can even be called separate playstyles. Even a simple question like "is the gameplay snappier and more weighty than that of Dead Island 1?" is left unanswered.

How much customization of playstyles is there? And which aspects of that customization work and which don't? Is using a slow and clunky weapon as exciting this time as using a quick weapon with decent damage, or does it still feel almost pointless to use anything other than quick, bladed weapons?

    So much is left unexplained.
