David Miliband: Crisis in Gaza is ‘a failure of humanity.’

“This is not actually about politics. This is about human survival, and that’s why it’s a failure of humanity.”

David Miliband, President of the International Rescue Committee, spoke to CNN TV host Christiane Amanpour about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, stating that over one million Palestinians in Gaza face “the fastest acceleration of a hunger crisis” due to a series of impediments. A UN-backed report indicates that more than a million people, half the population of Gaza, are on the brink of catastrophic hunger.

  1. With due respect to everyone that cares about Gaza , West Bank and Palestine in general , THIS IS NOT ENOUGH !

On the ground , North Gaza people are starving and atrocities are being commited , non stop .

My suggestion : we need millions of people marching everyday in front of our governments , mayors , representatives .

We need billions to BOYCOTT , BILLIONS of people boycotting makes an impact .

Spread the brands , join groups to protest , unity is our best weapon .

This is too much guys , MOBILIZE , ACT .

  2. British Parliament Refuses to Stop supplying Nazi Israel with Ammunition. How criminal is that? How have British Morals sunk this low ? .

There is more to this British defence of Israeli Genocide that meets the eye .

    Whatever can it be ?

  3. The Miliband family are 200% pro Israeli, one of the Miliband brothers has been operating a charity for at least decades which has and is specifically helping the Middle Eastern nations, I asked them why they don't include Palestine as a Middle Eastern Nation and they exclude this sovereign nation. Just like MBS of the tribe Al Yaud his words are batil, futile, meaningless, worthless, a concubines perfume, and much more but I'm guessing you get the direction of his charitable nation.

  4. 'David Milliband is so wrong. The blame for the famine in Gaza lies with two groups of Martians. They are the ones stopping the aid trucks from entering the Gaza Strip. They didn't even need scissors; they only used Mars Bars and crow bars. First, they tempted the drivers out of their cabs with Mars Bars, then knocked them out with crow bars! Simple. So, it's not the 'failure of humanity' at all. It's the Martians (who, as we know, are not human) who are to blame for starving the Palestinians. Please don't blame the good people of the world for the despicable crimes of aliens.

  5. He is a hypocrite. This is not a failure of humanity, it is a failure of Western governments and most Arab governments. They are just evil!
Whenever the racist West and their allies cause disasters, it becomes termed ‘a failure of humanity’.

  6. Democracy at war? How genocidal regime could be a democracy
Even a holocaust survivor’s son doesn’t have the courage to say that this is a genocide and should stop

  7. It is a 75 years old struggle for a Palestinian 🇵🇸 homeland/ country . May God grant them freedom from this apartheid/ genocidal regime. (It is not your own country until you at least have your own currency and control your own borders inshallah)

  8. David Milliband calls this disaster a failure of humanity.
This conveniently allows him to dodge the real blame which should be placed primarily on the support of the clearly genocidal state of Israel by the US, UK and Germany.
He says this is not a political issue when clearly it is. This statement by him is political in nature as it is designed to deflect blame from the aforementioned nation states who have supplied Israel with weapons and defended their brutal actions against the innocent men, women and children of Gaza.
The US is especially in the firing line as it has blocked any attempts at a ceasefire at the UN Security Council and the United Nations.
I believe Milliband’s intervention has less to do with concern for the genocide being carried out by the Israeli government and more to do with deflecting criticism of the US for their support.
If Israel is found to be guilty of committing war crimes, which is looking increasingly likely, then any country which has supported their actions would be found to be complicit, the US more than any other.
I believe this to be a desperate tactic to deflect blame and responsibility for their actions.

  9. IF the Israeli Butchery Dept. gave a single FF about the civilians in Gaza, well before now the IDF could've built a fully functional tent city right next to Gaza and vetted the Palestinian population as they were moved there while the IDF continued its 'hide, seek and destroy' games on Gaza.

  10. Did you see the Palestinian woman in Gaza who was rapped by a IDF soldier until she couldn't speak . And the other woman in Gaza who was stripped in front of her brother and husband and when they tried to cover her they were both killed , please highlight this

  12. “Are you the king of Isra’el or not?” asked his wife Izevel. “Get up, eat some food, and cheer up! I will give you the vineyard of Navot the Yizre‘eli.” .. In the letters she wrote, “Proclaim a fast, and give Navot the seat of honor among the people. Have two good-for-nothing men sit opposite him, and have them accuse him publicly of cursing God and the king. Then take him outside and stone him to death.” .. When Ach’av heard that Navot was dead, he set out to go down to the vineyard of Navot the Yizre‘eli, to take possession of it.

But the word of Adonai came to Eliyahu from Tishbe: This is what you are to say to him [Ach’av king of Isra’el]: ‘Here is what Adonai says: “You have committed murder, and now you are stealing the victim’s property!” ’ .. “Do you see how Ach’av has humbled himself before me? Since he has humbled himself before me, I will not bring this evil during his lifetime…” -1 Kings 21

Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. Now, therefore, because you despised Me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own…’ -2 Samuel 12:7-10

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments. -Luke 23:34-38

  13. The questions from the interviewer are all wrong. It's an ETHNIC CLEANSING GENOCIDE, not a war. And the decision that is needed is to END THE APARTHEID OCCUPATION. The decision that the west needs to make is to STOP ENABLING AND FACILITATING THE GENOCIDE. It IS about politics. He is well-meaning but he isn't calling it what it is.
