  1. We were FINALLY able to make some good headway on HICKS..I actually wound up spending the night in my RTT at Chris's house so we could keep working, and finish the trailer…that's in the next vid…we are so close!

  2. That axle flip ( lift ) is going to burn up the inside of those tires. Been there done that.
Dexter makes one that can be done in an hour for a 2 3/8 inch axle. Same lift you've got but stronger and it'll position your axle the way it was designed. Less than 100 bucks, and Pops can break out his welder and whiskey again. Got mine on ebay. I am not sponsored, 😉 Love the generic hitch .

  3. You can go spring under and use a longer shackle to get more clearance. To an extent. Summit has adjustable shackles with multiple holes so you can fine tune it. I used these then cut off the excess.

  4. Please tell me you are capping the end of that small square tube that is welded inside the large square tube. After painting it will look great and not collect mud, water or grime to rust from the inside out if you cap it.
It’s fun to see Hicks coming together again.

  5. I always love seeing that my Dad isn’t the only one that has a garage that has it all, if it’s not in the main garage, it’s in one of the gang boxes, not in there, check the storage garage, or outdoor racks and shelves that stores oversized material, pipe and iron. He’s like Home Depot and OReillys rolled in one and always ready to put an idea into production.
