Excellent! Thank you for adopting a shelter dog, so great. Looks like a GSD. I would get a rolled leather collar for tags and take that harness off, as it irritates the dog. Use a choke chain or pinch collar for training. Once they submit to you psychologically, you won't need anything with a GSD. Great dogs. fyi – pinch collars don't hurt. They simulate mothers teeth when they are picked up as babies. Try it on you will see. Harnesses rub against skin and fur and leave bald spots and are very uncomfortable around the chest lungs. The dogs do not respond to them either.
Please feed your dog real food – meat, eggs, fish, veggies, berries, cottage cheese, yoghurt, fresh raw greens and not just dry food. Also fish oil (not salmon oil) and you will see a show dog in beauty and health. Brush teeth as dental is the most costly care.
