  1. I hope to catch this. A very interesting conversation. I think they have been exploited for decades in Hollywood and media. But then again. So have many sacred cryptid over the centuries. Hope to catch this

  2. There can be so much "overlap" when a person witnesses something.
There are so many beings that can travel or at least be glimpsed from different dimensions and some are magical while others can be metaphysical. Some beings, like certain aliens don't exactly shift but can "glamour" and it doesn't always work, leaving the human even more confused.
Yetis/Sasquatch have been confused for dogmen and vice versa. I've heard a few recent stories of Yeti emiting certain sounds that cause mild hallucinations in humans. Ppl have seen hellhounds but confuse them for SWs or dogmen and vice versa.
Guardian forest spirits have been confused as all sorts of things.
I still don't know if the "weird" little people I came across one day as a child were fey or aliens. They seemed a bit irritated that I could see them but I felt nothing malicious about them, so, I doubt they were demons like my friend thinks. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  3. Huh, I thought fleshgaits were basically the same thing but European. The reason it makes sense to me is that evil forces want to hurt and corrupt all humans. They don't care what part of the world any of us are in so it makes sense that they would make evil offers to and share their secrets with humans all over the world, and make the same kind of deals with some variation on methods/rituals.

  4. what a cry-baby. Your beliefs are nonsense. I'd have been willing to just accept that people think differently than me and are free to their beliefs but if you're going to try and give me some white-guilt nonsense, then yeah I'm going to say your superstitious beliefs are stupid and you'll have to face that fact one day. No one else on the planet is scared of these creatures because no one else ever has experiences with them. I could go to the most haunted and spooky place where there's the most amount of "skinwalker" sightings and nothing would happen to me, and we all know it.
I'm not even saying there's no such thing as the supernatural, just that you don't know anything about it.

  5. I would say, the Wendigo & Skinwalker topics, are talked about, ad nauseam. It's like when the Chupacabra was popular in the 1990s. It was a topic that existed before the 1990s. Why was it so popular in that decade? Like mainstream just discovered it, but it was already there for decades.

We don't hear of current tales of Wendigo, because it's more of a Canada, in the 1800s/pre 1800s, lore.

Skinwalkers are always around, but unless one lives on a reservation, then they may have frequent encounters with a skinwalker. That is where any newer stories may happen. Otherwise, just like you said Fernando, it's become more creepy pasta.
