I really have to say, anime music can be a whole ‘nother breed. It gets cranked to the max with more well-known composers like Hiroyuki Sawano and whoever the heck does Hoyoverse’s music. That being said, I also have to say that once you listen to one anime soundtrack, you’ve more or less heard them all (excluding iconic ones like Fate). You could literally almost swap tracks between games like Arknights and Counter:side and the difference would be minimal in terms of style and effect. Not to say that they aren’t good, just that I’ve been seeing a lot of similarities.
How do you think the mashup turned out? Do the themes mesh well? Anything I messed up? Tips for next time? Feel free to tell me your thoughts below. If there’s any games or shows you’d like me to take a look at and mess around with, you can leave me your ideas in the comment section. It doesn’t matter as much to me, and you of course don’t have to, but dropping a like and sharing these mashups/mixes is also a great way to help me grow!
