Cooperative Pearl Harbor Wargame

Today on Little Wars TV, we commemorate the 83rd anniversary of Pearl Harbor with a 6-player tabletop exercise. In this unique cooperative game, all of the players are Japanese carrier commanders, aiming to outperform the historical surprise attack. Can our players design a more effective strike to cripple the American Pacific fleet? What targets will they select? Patrick Woodard serves as umpire and secretly records damage results to maintain fog of war.

Every ship and every plane are individually represented in a stunning 1:1 model ratio of this faithful tabletop depiction of the US naval base. We’re playing today’s exercise on the deck of the USCG Taney, the last surviving warship afloat that saw action on December 7, 1941. The Taney is now moored in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor as a museum ship with “Historic Ships in Baltimore.” We want to thank the museum staff for hosting us! You can tour the Taney and other historic ships for yourself. Visit their website for details:

We want to thank Patrick once again for his amazing work on the custom table and the miniatures used in the game. If you want to hear more from Patrick, Keith, and Dale in our full-length recap, we have the extended post-game video available right now on our website under the “Free Stuff” section:
