That was a fun talk to watch. Thanks for filming.
We have a group here in Gainesville, FL called the Reinstatement Project which came out of the Bonhoeffer Project and the group is becoming slowly informed by Dallas’ contributions. It is led by a very humble and very gifted mental health counselor as well as a guy who went through Bill Hull’s Bonhoeffer project. I think God is really shaping the group into something increasingly valuable. I am thankful for it and am thankful for the contribution at the end of the video towards wisdom in regards to spiritual formation groups.
And now a theological/historical question:
Is there a moment in church history where we see evidence of Christians not having the trouble with Heaven being far away as we do now? If so, would you cite your sources?
Is it a problem of a particular stream of interpretation that can be pointed to that has infected the church in the present moment and perhaps in other times in church history?
