  1. Great variety in your haul! I like that wacky Prez book – definitely of its time! Also cool to see ROM 31 – 2nd app of Rogue – I have good memories of reading my brother's subscription of that book! Cool that you're filling holes in your run of Sandman – do people collect runs anymore? 😆 Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

  2. Great haul, Jim. It's too bad that nobody really specs on DC books, because there are some amazing characters in the roster. Unfortunately, DC doesn't have the greatest track record for decent film projects. I wish the rumors were true and that they would install Greg Berlanti as the studio's Kevin Feige. He could bring that magic he used to get the Arrowverse going.

  3. Hey Jim! Love flea markets! Never know what you'll come across. I've been mildly curious about that PREZ series, but obviously not curious enough to hunt them down. I would buy if I came across them and the price was not ridiculous. Steranko on Nick Fury is nothing short of stellar. Todd McFarlane art on G.I. JOE? 8th wonder of the world, to be sure. All those Bronze Age comics from the flea market are great. That Marvel Frankenstein comic run was a pretty slick series. The interior art wasn't always the best, but the covers were usually exciting and the stories were fun.

  4. These are my favorite type of videos in the comic community. Where collectors go into the depths of long boxes and pull out favorites or little emeralds. That Black Panther#1 cover was sugacious! Fear and tremble in capsulated. That FF 175 with Eve and Galactus power beaming was stupendous! The Invaders 1 cover was how you go out with a bang!💥I too collect cards for art and my favorite characters. You made your pops proud with that star streaking Namath.

  5. Ghost rider is going to be an under the radar buy. Next year is the 50th anniversary and Hasbro was going to do it big with a hazlab so that's going to want more people to buy the issues to put with their action figures

  6. Last Saturday you picked up a pile of great comics Jim. Last Saturday I dusted and vacuumed the house and mopped the floors. Can you guess which of us had a fun day? Prez: only four issues, very easy to get the whole run and not hard to find either but oh dear, not a high point in comics writing and art. For me, novelty value only. On the other hand you have 1960s comic book gold with that Steranko Nick Fury cover and Strange Tales 164 is double gold: Dan Adkins on Doctor Strange and more Steranko Nick Fury brilliance. As weird as it sounds, that's the reason I too have heard for why the FF cartoon didn't feature the Human Torch; the studio execs didn't give kids enough credit, after breakfast they wouldn't immolate themselves, they'd immolate their friends. Have you seen the Netflix Sandman series? If so, thoughts? I really liked it, the spirit of the source material is present and it's put together with care and respect.

  7. Love your show mate. Wish we had sales like the ones you attend down here in Australia. Your enthusiasm and knowledge is amazing. As a fellow grey 50 year old we certainly share a lot comic sensibilities. A way I always check out your vids to live vicariously through your wonderful purchases.
