According to the bulletin in COH2, The M1 57mm/6 pounder was an American made AT gun meant exclusively for export via lend-lease to the allies but the need for a bigger AT gun basically meant the US adopted as the M1 57mm AT gun while in British service it was known as the 6 pounder as the weight of the shells was 6 lb.
