The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 – September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and Poland’s Iga Swiatek claimed the men’s and women’s singles titles. It was both players’ first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title. This year, at the US Open, we’re set for another historic tournament as the world’s best tennis players head to New York. I propose that the US Open organizers, due to this event being one of the largest tennis venues in the world, hold CONSOLATION MATCHES BETWEEN THE SEMIFINALS CONTESTANTS in men's & women's singles, men & women's doubles. In 2023, there would be CONSOLATION matchups between Shelton & Alcaraz, and between Keys and Muchova. These Consolation matches would provide significant add'l Income for the Open organizers!! Don't tell me the fans would not be interested in seeing these matches! Prize money for these players? IDK, perhaps $200k for the winners and $100k for the losers, to provide sufficient Motivation for them to play one more match. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ON THIS IDEA? I mean c'mon, even at the lowest levels of USTA league matches, there would sometimes be a Consolation round. Aloha from KAUAI!

  17. This is such bullcrap!!… sabelenka didn't play alot of people, but coco had to play all those,other players, Who is sabelenka, where did she come from, what a set-up ??…. please know this is a complete Rip-off!!..

    Women MUST play 5 sets if they want more money .

    But , this will not happen . They are just weak but ask for Iqual money ,
