Welcome to the small town of Puvirnituq in Quebec’s far north! This community of 2100 is served by YPX, a short gravel runway that is an essential link connecting the remote community to the outside world. The town is frozen more most of the year, meaning the only want to move people and essential goods is via Air Inuit. The operate a fleet of classic Dash 8’s, 737-200’s and twin otter’s from here.
I was here last August and had such an amazing time, so I’m super happy I was able to return even for a short period. I hope you enjoy!
