Elden Ring is a dark fantasy action role-playing game (RPG) by FromSoftware, creators of the wildly popular Dark Souls series. It quickly shot to the top of many β€œmost anticipated” lists upon reveal at E3 2019, mainly due to Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin’s involvement. Yup, instead of finishing The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring, Martin went off to work on video games for a bit β€” much to the chagrin of book nerds everywhere.

That’s the elevator pitch for Elden Ring, and we’ll get into more detail later, but first, let’s talk about the critical reception! To put it bluntly: Elden Ring is one of the best video games of all time by most quantifiable metrics.

FromSoftware is a Japanese video game studio responsible for titles like Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and the Dark Souls series. While FromSoftware has been making games since the mid-1990s, it became particularly well-known once Demon’s Souls came out in 2009, arguably Elden Ring’s progenitor. Demon’s Souls quickly became a fan-favorite due to its brilliant level design, wonderfully esoteric storytelling, and bone-crushingly challenging combat β€” that last part is key when discussing where Elden Ring’s hype came from. Many gave Demon’s Souls heaps of praise for being tough yet rewarding, like classic Nintendo Entertainment System titles like Contra or Battletoads.

With each major release after Demon’s Souls came out, FromSoftware’s notoriety and prestige grew, culminating in Elden Ring.

In this video Chugs encounters Fia is an NPC in Elden Ring. Fia is a deathbed companion that you will find inside a small bedroom at the Roundtable Hold. Her embrace will give you a special consumable that can increase poise called the Baldachin’s Blessing. You can ostensibly come back for more if you happen to run out of this consumable.

Margit, the Fell Omen Boss in Elden Ring
Margit is a Greater Foe Boss found in Stormhill, blocking the entrance to the Legacy Dungeon: Stormveil Castle. Spirits summons are possible for this boss. It is possible but difficult to backstab Margit. It is possible to parry Margit.

Lone Wolf Ashes is a Spirit and Summon in Elden Ring. Lone Wolf Ashes summons a pack of three wolves with independent life bars that can move and attack enemies at melee range. It is ironic how Lone Wolf, spawns 3 wolves toghether that work as a team.

Grafted Scion is a Field Boss in Elden Ring. Grafted Scion is an amorphous blob that wields two swords and a shield and is found in Tutorial Area, as well as Stormveil Castle. This is an optional boss as players don’t need to defeat it to advance to the Legacy Dungeon

  2. Hey Adam and everyone, just a couple of tricks i figured out while playing.
    1. If dogs annoys the hell Outta you, you can scare them of by using torch, they will run away.
    2. Try Jumping attack as it break there posture a bit faster, also this time dodging always won't help against sweep attacks so time your jump and you will be fine.
    3. Have throwables in your quick pouch as it can really save your skin at ranged combat situations or even fighting one on on. Knives work well they do real good bleed damage.
    4. If you don't want to loose rune, an item called Sacrificial twig is really good one, when you put it in your talisman pouch and die then you won't loose your runes
    5. There is also a trick to pause the game, open inventory > there will be Menu and explaination panel, when you open it the game pauses.

    Have fun everyone

  4. Don't do the blessing too much it drops health but you can remove the effect by using the rune she gave you that increase poise. Oh secret for you hug her a few times she will give you a dagger which you give to the guy sitting on the round table which she kills if you reload area you can take his armor which is a good medium armor. But do his quest first before you give him the dagger. Once you meet the beast guy he wants you to meet, the guy in the round table becomes a vendor buy his stuff then give him the knife. Or don't buy nothing.
