Local residents in the Hungarian city of Debrecen have staged a protest against the construction of an electric vehicle battery plant in the area by the Chinese firm Contemporary Amperex Technology. They worry water will be diverted away from farmlands to the factory, which needs large amounts of water to cool its equipment. They also allege factory emissions will result in long-term harm to the local environment.

  1. I don't know. But what I saw was a Karen nagging, not a protest let alone a Protest(s). What I find funny about these 'environment activists' is they insist we should go back to the pre-industrial evolution lifestyle but at the same time they couldn't survive a day without modern technology. They probably won't last an hour without touching their smartphones.

  2. To be honest, this channel is no different from the anti China channel. In addition, ordinary Hungarians have no government to consider the long-term. If you don't want to make money and develop more, you can stop it😂

  3. Them: We want to go green 💚
Again them: We won't allow battery factories here.
Then: If you don't allow, we're moving to Southeast Asia and China.
    Them again: That's illegal.

  4. It was a wrong decision of Hungarian government to let the Chinese destroy this beautiful country. In Laos, my homeland too. The Chinese have made lots of problems. They are selfish and aggressive. The Chinese farm owners expelled and shot the local Laotians because they want to take more land from the villagers.

  5. These residents are worried water will be diverted from their FARMS. Farming is also a MAJOR contributor to pollution. Her arguement fails immediately.

  6. I really think its important for the economy. I think once you have a strong economy, that’s when you can tackle issues such as global warming. But when you are unemployed and cannot find a job to support yourself or your family, I think tackling climate change would be the least of their concerns. THAT STILL DOES NOT MEAN WE CAN SIMPLY IGNORE GLOBAL WARMING. IT IS STILL AN ISSUE THAT IS VERY REAL AND WE ALL NEED TO HELP FIGHT IT. WHATEVER YOU CAN REASONABLY DO, DO IT.
